???. I have found a good way to spread my imitrex out. I can get about 10 shots from the stradadose system. Takes a bit longer to get it to act, but does a good job. It seems though that this cycle seems to be lasting a bit longer. I know that Imitrex can cause rebounds, but I wasn't sure if it would prolong say a two month cycle. Can anyone help??!!?? Thanks Scot

Yes the last neuro i seen told me that imitrex prolong CH cycles, two years ago my cycle lasted 3 months when they used last only 1 to 1 1/2 months.  I have used the imitrex during this cycle and it was only a month long (knock on wood) Shocked

Good luck Scot!!!!

I think this has been discussed in the past.

Not sure if its relevant, but since I've been med-free (about 5 yrs) my cycles have gradually got shorter and shorter.  They've gone from 6-8 weeks down to under 3 weeks for the last cycle.  If my cycles were longer, I probably never would have tried med-free.  The med-free route is DEFINITELY not for everybody.

Rebounds?   Another view....

"Thirteen patients suffering from episodic cluster headache were asked to record the characteristics of their attacks and drug intake for 1 year. All reported a high daily frequency of attacks (more than 3 per day) and the related overuse of s.c. sumatriptan. The results show that the overall incidence of adverse events among patients receiving sumatriptan injections for the treatment of cluster headache is low."

maybe not!
