One of those nights....not ch related

Everyone here has 'those' nights when nothing can go right. We had a little excursion into that last night.
Had watched the weather, and the weatherman said...'chance of thunderstorms'. About 8pm my daughter tells me to come out side to look at the clouds. Living in north Texas, that's never a good thing. But, since we weren't in a tornado watch or anything, I grabbed my camera and went to look. The clouds were so low you would have thought you could have grabbed them......and gorgeously frightening. This is what they looked like:
I took a few pics, and the next thing we knew.....golf ball sized hail.....with no time to move the vehicles. So while we were inside thinking about a $1000 deductible for each car, the phone rang.
My son works for Budweiser, loading keg trucks. They throw those things around like baseballs. Unfortunately, someone threw one into his face. The jaw wasn't broken, thank goodness, but about 5 teeth were. He used to be a relatively cute little boy...... ;D, and I'm sure he will be again, once the swelling goes down. I'm figuring a couple grand in dental work.
At about 11pm, the storms returned, and we lost power for 5 hours.......no AC, no phones.......NO COMPUTER!!!!!!
I got hit 3 times during all this, before the power went.....wasn't too worried about that....I can do a shot in the dark..... ;D
Has anyone else had these type of nights.....or is this just endemic to us??????

Had something like that the other night....but not nearly as bad!

Poor Tyler .... he's still a cute kid I'm sure but man, that really bites. I hope he's not in a lot of pain, you guys are tough cookies - not to mention you getting hit 3x thru all this ??? - but still...sheeeeeittt!!!
I hope things look better soon.... I won't even ask about the veehikkles...

NO COMPUTERS! Bummer...I can tolerate a lot of things......but no computers! I will tell you what, I have a couple of massive UPS power supplies I need to get rid of...real nice APC 1000va models.
One of them will run my PC for almost two hours if I keep the subwoofer of-line. Holler at me if you are interested.

Had a major 6.8 earthquake in January 1994. The mirror (2-1/2 feet by 3-1/2 feet) on the dresser fell off and hit me in the face... damn near broke my nose... really rude way to wake up. And my wife fell... or rather was thrown on the floor from the shaking... and broke her ankle. Luckily I was not having a CH cycle then.

Hopefully the company will pay the dental work eh?? sure would suck if not since it happened on the job...bummer to have to go through it though.
