???after 5 years without a ch, they're back. not in full force but they are back. 3 last night, any clues as to this how this awful demon works? i go for botox injections nest wek, will let you know how it works.

There are a few clues, however, the full mechanism remains unknown. Recent findings point to an enlarged hypothalymus being somehow involved in the mechanism. A study of CH sufferers using positron emission topography has shown activation in the hypothalamus solely in the pain state but not when they were out of the bout. This is the first year I've had CH's. I'm still learning, but printing out the medical info to read when I have PF times has worked well. Read everything you can - all those buttons on the left. Don't forget the OUCH site!
Check the past few pages for the Oxygen info web site.
Drink lots of water!
Good luck with the Botox treatment.

Sfly...Same thing happened to me,6 years free and almost forgotten and out of the blue they returned.I hope this cycle takes the same path as mine,only lasted 2 weeks.. not high Kips and gone.

Sorry they returned. Give your MDs a chance. I don't know anything about Botox other than I haven't seen much or any significant follow ups here. They seem to me to disappear. I hope it’s because it’s so successful.
