Hi people, Lots of you know Bama, lots of you don't. Bama is in New York for a performance at Carnegie Hall tonight with her choir. Lucky me, I get to go and watch the performance... Requiem conducted and written by Rutter. I can't tell you what a lovely lady she is, I just had to say it, and I know those of you who know her will miss her there (at the convention of course) dearly!! Lunch with her 2 days in a row, it was like getting together with an old friend. You were right E, Mast, Ken & Jonny, what a lady! I will post a couple of pics ( sux I don't have a digital ) as soon I get them together. Break a Leg Bammy!!!!!!

| Aw Jonny, you're so protective.... Bama is a tough mama..LOL Funny thing, we sat down at Houlihan's for a quick lunch on Friday (me and my 2 hour lunch's ;D). She ordered an Ab-SOLUT-ely lemonade. Guess what.... she says.. Hm, this has a kick to it. And that was an understatement - she made 'em take it back. LOL I won't say anything else... I'll wait til we have the pics.

Oh wow pepp..... sounds like great fun. And please give Bama a hug from me. Wishing you both the most wonderful time, and you already know we'll be waiting for the details of your fun. Tell Bama to have a safe trip on her return home and I'm sure you'll be a perfect companion for her while she's there. Keep us posted, EDNA

Wish I could have been there. Rutter's Requiem is one beautiful piece of music. What an honor to sing at Carnegie! Don't quit singing! A song can heal a hurt in the heart and it doesn't hurt the head any either! jc

Home, safe and sound, from the Big Apple and what a surprise to find Pepper's announcement on the mb! Thank you all so very much for your support and sweet comments--the trip was really wonderful, as always, but the abolute highlight was meeting Pepper and her precious daughter. She was such a little doll--so patient with her mom and her "Aunt Bama", letting us chatter away, trying to cram two lifetimes into such a short time. Pepper is absolutely beautiful, inside and out--and so full of energy and enthusiasm! It was my honor and privilege to have the opportunity to spend some time with you, girlie! Just wish it could've been lots longer--if only I hadn't found myself locked up in the stairwell of Carnegie all that time, I'm sure we could've managed to whisper and giggle all through the second concert! Sorry 'bout that! Thank you all, again, for your friendships--I am surely gonna miss all the wonderful hugs, laughs, and great times you're gonna have at the 2003 Convention If possible, y'all really need to be there....it's literally a life-changing experience...and one you will not want to miss! All my love, Bama (the Church Chick, Bammie, Bamamama, Jane....whatever! )

Thanks, jonny! Those Newe Yawkahs don't know how really close they came, locking me up like that in the bowels of that old building! In addition to being slightly frightened, I felt extremely foolish to find myself in such a predictament until after the "rescue" when the head usher explained to me how he once had to do the same thing for Jackie O--somehow, that really helped my feelings! At the time, it was definitely NOT at the top of my list of wonderful things to do. Now, it's just a funny story! ;D No harm done, although I doubt if I'll ever venture into another stairwell alone! Bam
