I'm getting tired of hearing of "all the good people who have left the board" because of all "the bullshit going on"
Then em bring the fuck back! I started on this board when all those "good people" were starting to fall off the board and I miss em. but there are still a lot of "GOOD PEOPLE" here NOW. The others left of their own volition.
There is no more, or less bullshit going on than when I got here a couple of years ago so let all the "good people who have left" come the fuck back and voice
their opinions if they wish. This board will not stand or fall based on who "COULD" be here. It will stand or fall based on who IS here.

A rather muted version of what you have written.
I wish someone would explain exactly what they think is driving the 'good people' from the board. I know I may be being stupid and I have asked before and no-one answered me but I REALLY WANT TO KNOW.
I understand the Iraq war caused real conflict here and very unfortunate things were said, and I understand that personal attacks are unacceptable and drive some people away, and make others stay and fight, and enjoy that fight.
Please will someone explain clearly the behaviours that are causing this perceived problem.
I for one cannot change my behaviour unless someone tells me what it is that is wrong AND NOT IN GENERAL EUPHEMISTIC TERMS like 'people here know what I mean', and 'we all know what we are talking about'
I DON'T!!!!!! AND I AM NOT STUPID. IF I DON'T KNOW, I BET THERE ARE LOADS OF OTHERS WHO DON'T EITHER.
Can someone please help, and it DOESN'T help sending me a private email saying 'It's Ok Wendy, it's not you'.

Those general statements you are refering to are what I suspect drive NEW people away. They are just not as "GOOD" as the the folks who pioneered this board. BULL SHIT!

It really makes some of us (me) feel bad that we (I) are not "good" people.
I have seen very few people on here that are not "good" people. Whether they are "old" or "new". I too have wondered what the problem is. Yes, it hurts me to see the personal attacks, but in most cases it is either resolved or buried.
I know there are some here that don't like me, however I don't know why. I also know there are some here that do like me. The reason I left for a while was because I needed to take a break....from the pain that is here, from the personal attacks, from the sadness, and due to some personal (financial) problems, but I never intended
to leave forever. You people are the only people in the world who actually know the kind of pain I go through.
And there is not a day that I am not amazed at the compassion and caring that comes from you people when someone needs you.
There have been times that I have "put my foot in it" and gotten flamed and times I have gotten angry. Times that I have been scared shitless cuz someone spoke of ending it all and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to say the right things to turn them away.
At times I may come off badly, but then, we all have those times don't we? We are all different people, from different parts of the world, with different beliefs and customs and the one thing we share is this horrible pain.
It is truly amazing that we get along at all...ever! Yes, you need to develop a bit of a thick skin... but hey, what is wrong with that! I just try to remember that we are all in pain, or love someone who is in pain.
I'm sorry that so many think that all the "good" people are gone. But, I don't think that those of us that are here are so bad.

Spot on! That's EXACTLY what happens when people make general attacks, rather than specific criticisms- everyone starts worrying it is them, and then they will be frightened to post and maybe then will leave. I for one am getting very, very fed up with these euphemisms and references. If someone doesn't explain soon, I shall just f..k off or go totally ballistic.

I'm interested to see where this goes. What is being said here recalls memories of being on the outside looking in...kinda like high school. To early to say cliquish.
I will check the archives. I'll bet I'll cry, laugh and find information germane to the title of this site. Same as I do now. This place cuts a section through a moving river. The boulders move. It will never be the same.
I like this place. I know that it helps me even if "good people" are gone.
