I challenge any member to participate! I bet $5.00 that Sweden will beat Canada in the World Champion Ship Ishockey Competition ;D Anyone of you posting on this thread will have to pay an entry fee of $5.00 that you will have to send to OUCH. Oh Canada.. A tiny Country like Sweden is going to kick your butt ;D Only 8 million people in Sweden but still we are the backbone of NHL and we WILL take the Gold. Damn, we are good.. Did I ruffle any feathers? Great, just remember that it will cost you $5.00 to OUCH to participate ;D Marty

In my part of the world we don't play anything called hockey (hockey........sounds like somebody trying to clear snot out of their throat). Here we have real men's sports..... Like tennis (indoors of course) It's not a real sport but at least we dress well. And sometimes it's funny. Ever see a (almost) 5 ft. 8 in. 265 pound lard-butt dressed in white shorts huff and puff around a court? I hate it when people laugh at me. We also have ballroom dancing. Now that's a game that separates the men from those other kinds of men.

| A unified effort by one bunch of guys to kick the living piss out of another bunch of guys. Both bunches are required to wear lethal weapons on their feet. The object of the game is to fire a hardened rubber disk at the stupidest guy on the team (Goalie). Swinging wooden sticks at each other is desirable. Teeth are not required or desirable. Training involves the art of Disrobing your opponent while continuously punching him in the face. Training also invloves the technique of using your body, moving at high velocity, to dislocate every fucking bone in the other guys body. There are penalties in this game. Like being on the wrong side of a blue line at the wrong time when you should be sat the other end pulverizing the guy trying to decapitate the stupidist guy on your team. (Goalie)Shame shame shame. GO BRUINS! FUCKENEH !

I'll pay the fiver. Hell, I'd pay ten if this were about a real sport like soccer where you play outdoors in all kinds of weather. None of that sissy indoor stuff.

Grant.. Canada - Sweden in the final.. Dreams do come true I think that it was in 1956 that we beat you guys the first time - since then it has become kind of a tradition ;D What was the name of the Canadian player that used his head to score that great goal in the sixties (no helmet)? I know it, but I just can't remember his name right now. JDH.. Try the top-10 goal scorers for starters.. Then look at the teams in the NHL and their start line-ups.. That will give you 10 + Swedish players. Marty Darn.. I should have asked for $5.00 per post on this thread. Would have made Don happy(ier).. ;D

Okay, wize guys.. As to the top-10.. okay, okay, okay At least we have the top two! As to Canada having 383 players.. are they counting the entire population of Alberta.. Thanks for the stats - did not have them, just a solid belief in the Swedish players, whithout whom certain NHL teams would be, shall I say, less successful.. Marty

Great pic Don...what was that guy thinkin'? Domi shouldn't be allowed to be that close to the general public...they should keep him in a cage and just bring him out for game time. Hey Marty, does Jorgen Petterson still play for Sweden?   Jim
