Hey folks, I was just wanting to know if there are any Cluster Headache suffers out there that have Glaucoma, I for one do. ???Next question what med. do you use for the glaucoma and does it seem to cause a problem with the clusters when your in cycle. ??? ??? I us Timolol 0.5% 2 x aday Pilocarpine 2.0% 4 times aday. I Know Not to use the pilo if I think I feel the start of a headache or for about 2 hrs. after one. It was my eye Dr. that got me into this new Dr. last month after 15 + year of my GP doing no good at all. Thanks everyone PF for 101 hr. thats right I count hours when I'm in cycle. and that is the lonest I have been pain free since this cycle started in late Jan.

Sorry Roghfish, I can't help with the cluster/glaucoma question. I can say that my hubby had to have cataract surgery in both eyes due to long term prednisone use. Here's hoping the pain free hours keep adding up for you....good luck Jacks

A search of the archives turned up only 1 mention of glaucoma and it turned out to be a false alarm.

No Glaucoma here, but it runs in my family, so I have a chance of getting it....I have a bigger chance of detached retina though... Wonder how many of us have bad vision (ie myopia-nearsightedness)? Sherry

No real eye problems but the drug connections are always a possiblity. I have had very normal far-sightedness since my 40s. Doesn't get better or worse....so I tell myself. I do have very acute hearing but then many epileptics do. Charlie

A check of the National Library of Medicine revealed only 7 citations from 1975 to present on this topic. No info about meds, unfortunately, but clearly the interaction between the two conditions is complex enough to require a sharp doc to treat you.
