Sean is out of Iraq........ He is back on the ship!!!! I am so excited and relieved... they will hang in the Mediteranean til they are sure not to be needed then off to some where else for the duration of his deployment ... hopefully not Afghanistan but who knows? Yes there is a conflict still going on there... it seems never ending... but thanks for all of your support. I still wont be truly relieved until he is standing in my living room... but know that I will sleep a little better tonight............ second thought you dont think he could fall off the ship????? (only kidding) love Ree

You mean the son that said this is mostly out of harms way? : "Whatever role he may play in the war on terrorism, part of his mother will be with him. 'Wherever I go in the world I plan on returning home and I always know I have a home to return to. It's a type of security I guess. That I have because of her,'he said." One small step for Ree and Sean's reunion. One large step for peace in their minds. I know I'm smiling about this for you two, Ree. It's been a long road and you both have been traveling it very honorably.

Ree. That is great news! They got the job done, at least as far as could be done for now. Now it is up to the political types to try and put the country back together. I'm grateful to him and the rest of our people. He represented us well. Thanks for loaning him to us. jc

Great news Ree. I'm glad for you, and glad he did an outstanding job! We in the military always have fun picking on each the sister services (names like flyboy, jarhead, grunt, squid, etc) but I have nothing but respect and admiration for the Marines. I sat on the bench for this game, but my unit didn't. If anyone is interested: http://www.af.mil/stories/41103878.shtml. Next time Ree, get an address so we can swamp him with care packages! Clark

Very nice news for you and us as well. One thing you can be sure of. The Navy and the rest of our military know what they are doing, especially when taking care its own. I've always liked it when I got a chance to shop on the base with my uncle. It was always a pleasure. We have some terrific youngsters in the service that need a big pay raise. Good for your family Ree Charlie

Ree, I am so happy for you! I also have a Sean. He is in the Army Reserves and his unit, the 368th Engineers is now in Baghdad to help with the rebuilding. Sean is not with them because he still has to graduate high school. He does his AIT in August. I have been following your posts about your son and it is obvious how proud you are of him. These young people that defend our country are truly a special and wonderful group of people. I will hug my Sean today and be so glad that I can. Hopefully the time will fly by till you can hug your son also. els.
