Most of you know I have two birds and have seen pics of me and them getting out of the shower with them. The female died yesterday I thought I had her for eight years but my breeding records show ive had her for ten
Im going to bury her today, I made a nice stainless steel cross for her that I will take a pic of it
and post in this thread later. The bird I have left is going nuts because he has never been alone in his life.
Below is a pic of Pepe and I getting out of the shower years ago.

Thanks folks,
most peolpe would think its just a bird. I use to let her sleep on top of her cage on the playground on the weekends....6 am sharp she would climb down the cage, run up the blanket and start biting my ear to wake me up. Use to let her free reign on the supper table, man can they splash mash pataoes around, thats why they always showered with me....LOL

Aw, man! I'm sorry for the loss of your pet. It is amazing how they become a part of your family and how serious losing them can be. While I'm more of a dog guy, I know exactly how you feel.

Awww, Jonny- Looks to me like a lot of people here understand your pain. Unconditional love is hard to come by, but that's what our pets give us. I am glad you have your other bird to keep you company, maybe you can help each other get used to your home being a bit quieter without Pepe.

Jonny, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My bird pet of 10 years also passed away a couple of months ago. I cried and it hurt like hell burring him. Life hasn't been the same. I miss his little personality and his beutiful song. He will always be apart of me just like Pepe will always be a part of you. You will always have those wonderful memories. I will be praying for you.

RIP Pepe. Now flying in a big free sky somewhere!
I didn't know you kept birds, I keep them too so I have some idea how attached you get. Mine are a lot smaller than yours, canaries and foreign finches.
I was very upset when I lost my oldest Canary, Rocky. He was a real character (hence the name from Rocky Bilbao) and lived to 11 years old, which is old for a small bird. He was Top Bird in my aviary, even though he was a geriatric.

If it's any consolation Pepe is now amongst numerous cluster pets and friends.
I know there is a special place for cluster pets to hang out together when they leave us.
They to have witnessed our pain and suffered with us in their own way.
Pepe is sitting on Mildreds head getting a free lift around town right now. Picture that!

Jonny, I am so sorry about your bird. Don't let anyone belittle your love for "just a bird". I had a beautiful blue parakeet named Joshua who gave and received more love than any animal 100 times his size.
I have never been without a pet of some sort. They don't care how mean you get and you don't have to explain your pain to them, they just want to be there.
