What I wanna know is, how many of you have had odd dreams or nightmares associated with night-time attacks, and what where they like?...

The only nightmares I have while in a cycle are the ones that wake me up about an hour after going to sleep.
I wish it was a dream but it never is.
If I'm lucky enough to sleep long enough to have dreams, I don't remember them.

I dreamt I was drinking ketchup with a straw during an episode once. And once I was the Skipper on Gililgan's Island except we weren't starnded on an island. Instead it was Saks Fifth Avenue. I was being forced into a blue polyester shirt. I woke up screaming from that one.

Usually no dreams. Sometimes I dream that I am falling and then I stop with my eye suspended about an inch off the floor with my legs straight up in the air, and I can't get down. I'll wake up, fall back to sleep, and 5 out of 10 times the SOB attacks me within 2 hours.

I have lots of dreams, both nightmares and bizarre. I also can control them. Until I was in a sleep study I thought everybody could do that. I simply redirect what is occuring in the dream.
I have never been able to change the beast coming though. It doesn't seem to care if I dream or not.

Saw a programme on telly about people who could travel around at will in their dreams, can't remember what it was called. How amazing!
Wish I could control my dreams, I have all sorts of horrible persecution ones with weird possessed people or undead or ghosts chasing me.
Big Dan- haven't noticed any differences with dreams since developing CH.

Many strange and horrible dreams no matter what. Makes Freddy look like he's playing in the sandbox. I've been to places that can't exist, seen animals and plants that are not of this earth, I've become animals, have been eaten by them, and have died many deaths. Sometimes I have humorous dreams.... such as that 'talking telepathic dalmation dream'..... oh nevermind....

I've had those dreams too.
Yup Dan. Many people have posted about having nightmares before waking up in an attack. I know it happens to me when I get up in pain... or I guess before I get up in pain. When I do dream, whether before an attack or not, it's usually nightmares anyway but when it precedes an attack it takes on a different stage of scariness. Although I don't know if I woke up with it and wasn't in a lot of pain if it would seem as scary.

Interesting stuff.
I've dreamt a few times that I was having an attack but never felt the pain and knew I wasn't. I've read that we never actually feel pain while dreaming. So far, I haven't seen anything to contradict this......so far...I suspect we'd never sleep if it weren't the case.

I dream all the time, sometimes I remember them, sometimes I don't. They aren't nightmares, just really strange and bizarre. The last few months, I'll be in the middle of a dream, and I will start getting hit in the dream. I get my fill of ch's when I'm awake....don't really want to dream about them too. But, whenever I dream I'm getting hit, I will wake up in the middle of a real beauty. It's a little weird.

I'll give an example...
Once, I had a dream that I was laying in a dry lake bed, and an I-beam was scraping my scalp off, and it hurt like hell... I then woke up seconds later in the midst of a K-10...
... another time, I was at some party, and people kept putting these "neck wraps" on me... the kind that you put in the fridge and wear when it's hot to help cool down... anyway, it was giving me an attack... when I woke up.. I actually was having one...

I don't think I have nightmares but I do dream that I have a headache in my dream and wake up with one. Other times I have dreamt I had one and woke up and didn't have one... don't know what is up with that....

When my cycle was at an end I started to have bad dreams. The one that sticks in my mine was, I was gettting hit in the head with a rock. I screamed in my sleep and woke myself up.
I can understand why I would dream after going through so much hell for over 3 mos.

I have weird and bizarre dreams, but I think it is from all the medication we are all on. Don't you think? My dreams are so weird, my husband said that I have been talking in my sleep also. He said that I actually hold conversations with people and if he really listens he can usually figure out who I am talking to. It really freaks him out. It only happens when I am near the end of my cluster cycle. At least that is how it has been for the past couple of years.

The brain challenge I've been getting lately that's related to CH's is disorientation. When I come out of a good attack, I often have no idea where I am. I don't panic, because I know it'll come back, but I'm usually lost for a few minutes.
