Cluster video

Well,
Jonny promised to send me a video about clusters. I got *something* in the mail, but I couldn't find a video in it anywhere. There was this big cassette-like thing that was full of tape (with no adhesive even, and black too, like anybody has a use for that?) I ripped the cassette apart looking for a dvd video, but of course it wasn't in there. Now what? I suppose you want me to wind-up thing 3 foot pile of useless black tape again and stuff it back into the cassette thingy?
WTF? It even had a label on it proclaiming it to be the cluster headache video "The Beast Attacks". Whatever.

I do have a question though, why was the video sent to you? I thought that they, if anyone else was doing one -which if they are than great, were being sent to Sommelier?
I have a tape that I am sending Sommelier but now I am confused?
Or was this about something else completely and I am just a nut case today? ???

Sorry for the confusion, this tape is the Aki Perterson & WETM-TV video on cluster headaches. It was quite cool actually. I even shared it with my children, giving them their first real glance into the beast that has invaded their lives as well as mine. My twelve year old son prabably learned more than my 10 year old daughter. She is just more in tune wuith things like this than he is, which isn't surprising at all given male/female stereotypes... (btw, she even told me she had searched on the web for information on cluster headaches. Wow... times have changed. I guess having a computer in 5 different rooms makes that happen)
My daughter gave me a great hug afterwards, and I reassured them that this cannot kill me. I hope it was fair to share this with them at such an early age, but they feel the effects either way, so giving them information can't be bad, right?

Is there any way that a copy of the tape can be purchased? I understand that it is probably copyrighted, but I would be willing to buy a copy, as it sounds very good. Coming to Canada may be a problem, but there are a bunch of us clusterheads up here too and I would like to share it on this side of the 49th as it would save multiple hassles crossing the border.

Are we restricted in reproducing it? I could burn it to CD and send to any number of people. Is there a way to get permission or even compensate the copyright holder if people just want fast easy copies of it? I could even make an mpg of it and host to be downloaded by people with a username/password. Just let me know.
Oh yeah, and this ain't no joke. The tape stopped twice during playback, acting like it was binding up in the VCR, so there might be issues with tape life here. I was able to get it started again, but my VCR will stop playing a tape if it senses that it is about to get eaten.

Aki is a Clusterhead and he put a lot of time and effort ($$) into that project. He specifically asked that his copyright be honered around here.

Hey guys
Thanks for all the work you're putting into finding out about this tape. Maybe it could turn into a small fundraising project for OUCH. Most of us clusterheads who can afford it would be willing to pay a small amount for it for both Aki and OUCH to get a little out of it. The idea of burning it makes sense both for the life of the recording and for getting it out to people. Let me know how you make out.

P.S. I also know that clusterheads are innovative and would find a way for those who can't come up with the money right now to see it anyway.

We don't have a price set for the OUCH Cookbook yet, but I would think if people are going to be willing to pay $15 to $20 for a cookbook, they would sure be glad to pay for a copy of that video. I know I would.

I can't speak for Aki (I hope we find out how to contact him) but sometimes honoring a copyright means nothing more than giving credit where credit is due, and keeping the copyright plainly visible on the product. Of course, it's up to Aki.

Aki made the video available here at CH.com at a very low price but very few were ordered.
Most people said "You buy one, copy it and send it to me free". Cheapskates!

The copy I have going through the mail was paid for by DickR (if anyone remembers him) and he mailed it to me, I in turn mailed it to another clusterhead and so on and so on.
I told Aki I would not copy it but lending it out is a different story.
