Stroke symptoms

Does anyone have stroke symptoms when the headache peaks?

I Have been diagnosed with CH which I have been suffering from daily since December.
In February I began suffering from Stroke like symptoms which the other day worsened from mild effects lasting up to one and a half hours to severe symptoms lasting two to five minutes four to five times a day.

I lose total control of the left side of my face and body.

They are not calling them strokes because the MRI was clear yet they are not calling them seizures because I am aware of what is going on.

has anyone heard of this?

When I was first diagnosed twenty five years ago I would occasionally have symptoms such as you are describing.  One time my whole right side was unusable and I fell out of bed when i tried to sit up.  My Dr. at the time told me it was not a stroke or seizure, but was a rare side effect of severe HAs.  he said not to worry about them, that they did no harm.  Yesterday when I saw my neuro my wife mentioned that occasionally when I get hit with a bad one my right leg drags when I walk and that myface sags.  He said the face sagging is not unusual, but the leg dragging is not connected, but did not seem concerned about it.  I don't think either of them really knew, but in twenty five years I have not had any permanent impairment.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

Certain types of migraines may yield symptoms similar to what you're describing.  I know a couple of people that experienced those symptoms with migraines.

Thank you all for your time.  I really did not know what to write my first time and all.  I did not want to seem to be whining.
I am treating at the NE headache center.  They feel that I am suffering from CH as well as Complex  Migranes.  All I know is that I am in a heck of a lot of pain.  It's nice to see that there are other people out there who would like to bang their head into the wall.

I appreciate your feed back more than I can say.

;D ;D I have had this happen a few times, My doctor told me that it was because during the day I had used all or most of the essential salts in my body, that is what causes the stroke like symptoms,  My worse one I was paralized on the right side of my face and couldn't speak correctly, even though my mind was working clearly.   Pappy
