Have you done your math yet ?

Hi guys,
I was screwing around with the calculator and was amazed to find that I've been clustering for approximately 24 years, with 14 of them Chronic and 10 Episodic.
I averaged 14 years at 2 clusters per day, peak sessions were obviously 6-8, but if I used 2 as the number, I come up with 10,220 wonderful memories. I then took the 10 years at 2-12 week cycles for a total of 24 weeks per year at twice daily, same rules apply as above, and that comes to 3,360. That gives a grand total of 13,580 clusters, and thats probably conservative.
I'm feelin' for those long term, full time, chronic sufferers.
Lets see the numbers guys, show me the pain Shocked

;D ;D I have done this before and I know for a fact that I have broken the 100,000 mark, I even figured out the time and the amount of water I had used in coping with the attacks, but I dont remember the count now, it was some where in the area of 11.5 to 12 years I have spent runing water over my head or what ever!somewhere between 7,500,000 to 8,000,000 gallons of water or ice thats a lot of pain and wasted time and water and energy!    Pappy

I am an anti-math protester. I have always hated math. It gives me a headache. I firmly believe math to be the source of all the worlds problems.

They say money is the root of all evil. ...math is the root of money.

Ego fueled math counts one person as being better than another...their time "worth" more than another's. Predjudice "counts" their chickens before they hatch. Justice and Injustuce has become  a math based "bookeeping" juggling act of lawyers and politicians whose only true aspirations are to buy fancier cars to drive thru the gates of their castle walls.

STOP THE MATH!

Notice any numbers on the edges of these pages?....those that relate to me are wrong...my little nose thumbing game to math.

Quantum physics is approaching thru math ...the face of God.  They are taking the long way home.

Verily I say unto you...there is only one kiss.

There is only one pain.

There is only one day.

Be here now.

Undecided ??? Sean,
You ask the question didn't you,  Married 31 years, severe chronic for 34 years, average of 8 attacks per day for 33 years (conservative figure) I have had many, many days with 10-15 per day. 24/7/365/33 you figure it out.
Average shower time 1 hr. at 70-80 gallons per.
conservitave quess at 1 hr per attack.
And guess what Jonny, yes I can count them,! I kept a 5 year log of every event that happened each and every day, where, when, how much med, what food or drink, weather conditions, mood, time occupation(what I was doing) length and intensity of attack, and so on. required by the VA for tracking my daily habits to see if we could corralate any systematic reasons for the clusters!
Its an guesstament, but I would wager money on it!
You did learn how to count in school didn't you Jonny?
I'm a chronic that had a none stop severe chronic life for 33 straight years, with no break what so ever!Thats why its so hard for me to understand someone that hasn't had a cluster in 4 years drinking beer and taking lithium, but still claims to be chronic?
Check your mentallity at the door!    Pappy

I've had about 7 attacks throughout my life. I'm not worthy of any of you who suffered more than that. I feel so stupid for mentioning it even. Thousands of attacks, huh? How could you handle that without bragging about it like it's some mark of honor? Jonny, you're pretty insensitive. These people have had attacks ranging in the double digits at least. And think they're so rare like that and need to get a sense of affirmation by expecting people to say "wow, what a hero. You've suffered more than I could ever expect to." When all along the people they're talking to have gone through at the very least as much as they have. But then again, look who I'm telling this to. And me here with my seven attacks!

;D ;D I thought that was what you had posted not long ago Jonny, not having been hit in 4 years? my memory isn't the best but I could have sworn I read something like that !
I don't have an Oxy soaked brain, and I am tired of the insinuations that I am incapacitated in any manner because of the Medication, I at least handle my own problems, even in my sad state of health.
But I do have a Pain Free head! I need no affirmation of any sense of accomplishment from you or anyone, to me chronic has a different meaning than having remissions, 33 years on no break ever is what I know as Chronic and I am not attacking you, As I said I don't understand anyone that is chronic being able to drink beer at all! Medically it doesn't jive with any of the statical information I have been given, just the oppisit, I will no longer aim my comments in any way that you can misconstrew as me attacking you Bud Brain!  Pappy

100,000 CH's -- Holy shit - that's a depressing thought.  Especially if you concider yourself in a mid life crisis.  Another 100K would make me want to cancel my ticket.

8M gallons of water -- wonder how big of a pond that would make?

Me - never counted -- don't want to.  More than one is enough for any of us.

I've never counted or wanted to either, I've tried to never let it have that much importance in my life.
When I get 'em, I deal, when they go away, I continue with my life.

;D ;D Those that don't count, have remissions! Not so with Severe Chronic for 33 years, not until this year and Oxy (fucking miracle drug) Contin.
I would just about bet I was having 7 to 10 attacks a day when most of you were still wet dreams.  Pappy
