is it gone? How do i know

Im on my last day of prednisone.  My head feels alittle foggy ALL  the time, dont know why. You know that feeling like when youve sleep to long.  Thats the feeling im getting in my head.  But i havent had a real ch attack in 4 days.  A few mild regular head aches i think.  Still dont feel like my self, i think thats because of the prednisone.
I was just wondering.  Do you think that once the prednisone is out of my system in a few days that it will come back?  I still have that feeling that its still capable of jumping back at me. What does everyone else feel towards the end of therer cycle.

My experience with pred was good...I had no ch's while I was on it...after it cleared my system however, the pain came back.  Now I was kinda lucky in that I was near the end of my cycle, so it didn't come back real hard or for too long.  The doc that prescribed it truly thought that it would end my cycle.  Now, they tell you it will give you a holiday from the pain...which it did for me.
I have seen many here say that the pain came back harder than ever and some it came back before the last few days of the course... sooo, there is not much way to tell.  Take it day by day.  But, I bet you enjoyed those pain free days didn't you?  Grin so, even if it comes back, remember those pf days!  Here's hoping it NEVER comes back!

Preventatives = something to prevent the pain

Verapamil, Lithium, Topomax, Neurotonin, Depakote, etc.

If preventatives are effective for you it may fend off not only CH, but also prevent you from going broke due to cost of imitrex.

I don't take any preventatives and to be honest with you not many if at all prescribed medications when I am having them.  Nothing I have tried seems to work, so I can not tell you anything about the prednisone.

However when mine are going away I feel very exhausted and hangovery, get more frequent headaches more sporadically and not near as intense and then all of a sudden they are gone and I feel like my normal self again.

Hope they are leaving you!

At first I thought the subject was "is it in? How do I know". I flashed back to my honeymoon for a second.
