CathiP: One can drive here in 2 days, but you need to read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas to see what you need to bring along with you. It'll be a hoot!!!

Nancy is unable to put this gathering together. She's tied up with her heart problems, ch's, her job and her son being sent overseas. She left it in the hands of Barry (Siliver_Dolphins).
I have sent him a message and so has Nancy, but he never responded. I even put something about this gathering in one of my recent posts - but no one knew anything either.
Looks like to me that the gathering is off.  I sure would have enjoyed meeting some fellow ch'ers.

I recommend we continue to try and put something together anyway. I know we discussed the end of this month when we were doing that before, but that does not mean it can't happen in June or July or whenever.
I'll even go so far as to try and coordinate what I can if that'll help.
I know that day to day life gets in the way sometimes and I recommend that we give Nancy the respite she deserves.
We are free beings, so let's start cashing in on it!!! Let's go back to the proverbial drawing board and do this thing....
Southerners: Y'all have any additional thoughts?

Brian - count us in for a southern gathering.  Back in Aug 2002 we tried to have one at Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta. Elaine got too sick to try to put it together and everyone else fizzled out. How about starting a separate post and see what the responses are. If the interest is there - I'd love to help plan something with you.
