Last week when I went to the neuro she put me on oxygen and Indimethacin. The oxygen stopped the headache, but I would get another one a couple of hours later. The indimethacin was not working. Today she put me on Presnisone, Elavil and Verapamil along with the O2. She also gave me a shot of a nerve blocker in the back of my head. She injected it in about 10 different spots on the right side of my head. They stopped the headaches for about an hour then they went back up to level 4, (where they have been for the past two weeks with at least 3 episodes of level 8-10 a day. I am really starting to give up hope and am severly depressed. Thanks for listening. Roseanne

Roseanne, hang in there, it might take time for the meds to start working. Especially the prednisone. Have you tried imitrex? it works wonders for lots of us here ...........................................andy

Sounds like you have a knowledgable and aggresive neuro. Work with it. Give it time.
