My Grandmother was from London (as were 10 of her 11 siblings, who settled in K.C. MO. I had a mass of English great aunts and uncles growing up). She would have been so proud of Tony Blair. I just wanted to share this article. It’s not important, but it’s human. http://www.msnbc.com/news/901982.asp Peace, David J.

I've always admired Blair. If he had positioned himself against military involvement, I still would have supported my president, but would have done so with grave doubts.

Rumour has it over here in our press that he is more popular in the US than Bush and that surveys have said that many Americans think he'd be a better president. Can this be true? W the B

You're right. Tony Blair is a good bloke and I usually watch "question time," now that it's available. Tony is very popular here. It's great to listen to someone who doesn't say "nuclular," and doesn't grind his teeth and scowl at his audience. Bush should go off the wagon and ask Tony to bring over some of that Port that so many PMs lived on over the centuries. I don't think The Empire could have survived without it. George Bush was not elected here. He was President Select, and chosen by the Supreme Court after losing to Al Gore by more that 1/2 million votes. Charlie
