I just finished my cycle and people are asking what was wrong how do you feel what is it????
How you do explain this? Is it a disease?? Is it a symdrome???
I feel stupid trying to explain because people always say o0o a headache, like a migriane, I feel I over explain it or they think I am making it worse....
Sometimes I feel stupid trying to make them understand...now I just say I feel fine..
does anyone else feel like that?????

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on kicking the beasts ass!
Many of us feel the same as you, not really knowing how to explain it. Only my closest friends and family understand so I leave it as that and just try to avoid as many others as possible while in cycle.
Well you are just in time to have a wonderful PF summer, enjoy yourself and stick around!

The only time I discussed them with somebody other than family and my boss, I was at my neighborhood bar having a few beers and a guy is holding his head looking like he was about to fall on the floor... and I commented that it looked like he was having one hell of a headache... and he said yeah, clusters. It's the only time I have ever randomly met a clusterhead.

as to explaining the beast to anyone else. i don't . i just attack them with a pickaxe to the cheekbone and a sledge to the eye and leave it at that ;D

I have yet to meet someone in person with CH. I think it would kind of freak me out to see someone in such pain, other then myself.

You would not freak, Suz.....you would help without blinking an eye.
At the Atlanta convention I was in the lounge (who me?) when someone called my name, I went over to see a clusterhead banging their head on the floor of the elevator. I pick this person up and the doors closed when they opened I carried this person to their room and got them on 02 while another clusterhead administered a shot of Imitrex......All was cool very soon.
That was the first time I saw anyone have a cluster, we were like a pit crew at Indy. ;D

Jonny, I can't imagine that person being in any better hands than that of some fellow clusterheads.
It was probably better treatment than any freakin' er ever gave.

In the past... Whenever I was asked about CH, I gave them a copy of Simon's letter to read. Recently, I gave away the copy I had to someone I work with that has been diagnosed with CH, so I guess I'm going to have to print up a new copy.

As for explaining it to someone who has never experienced CH it is impossable. How do you explain Hip Hop to a deaf man? (I couldn't think of a worse equivalent  ) I think Drk^Angel's use of Simon's letter is the best, but it still leaves a lot to be desired.
