hey all,
I am back for a short period of time. As most of you know, I have duties away from computers with open access so I havent gotten to read too many of your posts. Just spent about 4 hours of my leave trying to catch up. So, since I DO have email access, I have decided to open up my address for those that have specific medical questions. Please just email me and I will try to answer as best I can. I don't claim to have all the answers, but for a guy with headaches that no one understands the cause or cures, I can do my best. Anyway, just be sure to put in a subject line something about CHs or the name 'simon', otherwise I will think it is garbage and delete it.
At first, I left my email hidden afraid that I would get inundated with questions, but now I think that is the best way for me to help out here on the boards. If I get to respond to a message, feel free to post it along with your question. I hope this will be helpful to all.
By the way, it doesn't suprise me about the blue cheese thing. Haven't tried it, but am sure I will. There are certain fungi that have chemical compounds within them known as the 'ergots'. There are several know uses for these compounds, that when refined are referred to as ergotamines...that might sound familiar. Anyway, one uses is, as we know, vascular headaches. Not sure about the whole vinegar thing though =(.
One day, when drunk enough, I will tell you all about my theories on the beast. At least one version of him.
PS....I don't smoke and my sex drive is NEVER low....so those are DEFINATELY NOT universal cluster headache traits =P.
