I want to first thank everyone on this board for helping me to get through another lovey cycle with the beast, even though im alittle shy at posting things, im glad to know that there is support. now for the question, 2 weeks ago i had a couple of beers (10 to be exact) to celebrate being pain-free and the purchase of my new house and had no problem, they were mgd. the next night i had 4-5 old milwaukees and the beast hit me good. the next nite i had a couple more old milwaukees and the same thing happened. 2 nites ago i had a couple of mgd's and no problem, does the beast like mgd or something hahahah..any thoughts????? PEACE WALLY

Wally, Although drinking during cycle is verboten..........it was the "Old Mil" that was the problem. Too much bladder excrementation in that stuff. Like you, I prefer the Nectar of the Gods once I can come up for air. I'm not as think as you drunk I am......... RJ

The beast is picky, and he's kickin' your ass for drinkin' the horsepiss... Stick with the MGD... Or better yet, drink Bud... Stay away from the horsepiss if at all possible... PFDAN..................................... Drk^Angel

For the most part beer and wine = trouble if you ask me... Especially if you are on the outside fringe of a cycle.. The hard stuff seems to do welll with me... Try a nice bottle of Belvedere Vodka and some limes.. or just some ice... Drink until haze starts to set in.. then if a CH hits, you're so unconcious that not even IT will wake you. Cheers Mate!

Hmmmmm. In my experience (16 yrs now) alcohol isn't a trigger. I have a drink- I get a headache I DON'T have a drink-I get a headache But for episodics, alcohol during a cycle IS a very big trigger. Now, call me nuts.......But beer, wine, vodka, bourbon, etc.....all have ALCOHOL. Hence they're all a trigger no matter how cheap or expensive they are. You said you had a couple of beers (TEN to be exact)??????????????????? Hey Wally......I want YOU to do my taxes for me this year. WELCOME TO THE NUT HOUSE MY FRIEND. LindaH

Funny you would bring this up Wally. I've been pf for about 6 weeks and I've had a "few" beers since and all has gone well. I'm a Bud man so all I've been drinking were St Louis' finest Budweiser. Last weekend I had 4 Buds and ran out so there were some Coors Lite in the fridge and I drank 2 of those and went to bed. BAM! I woke up an hour later with a k-9 that for the first time the o2 wouldn't kill. Hell I couldn't even sit still long enough to breath it. I finally had to resort to a shot of Imitrex. Does the beast prefer certain beers? hmmmmmmmmm. Jim

Half rack of Rogue Ales "Brutal Bitters" and a fifth of Rum never stopped the beast. But then I didn't give a damn by then either. Piss water beer, Like Bud and Miller gives me a headache allmost as fast as another security update from Microsoft. TTFN
