Entertainment vs. Infotainment? Maybe all the convention goers are all set but they are enjoying (like watching a train wreck) the friendly banter? -Fu

And I'm 2 of them. It's all vacation for me from here on. You're doing a heck of a job Don. The rest of you, like I always thought, all talk and no action. Here's your chance to meet other clusterheads. Talk to a panel of ch experts face to face for hours. And most of all, show those doctors that we are a vibrant, growing community. One to be dealt with. Doc Robinson from Vancouver last year, was telling his colleagues for weeks afterwards, what a pleasure it was to be in a room full of clusterheads. I'd e-mail well known docs like Dr. Dodick and he say, oh, Dr. Robinson was just telling me about you guys. Look forward to working with you. Come to the convention or be a blow hard or just blow Jonny. Do it! You won't regret it but you will regret not going when you start to hear the stories from the attendees.

I would *love* to go. The convention is on the East coast, making it sincerely difficult to manage, even if the IRS and State weren't firmly in control of my disposable income. I will miss the opportunity to meet all of you, and hope things will be different next time there is a convention. -Fu

Come on guys... I can't afford it either - not really - I work as a free lance translator for a "living", hah! And I have to come from Europe. Anybody ever look up the fares in july? I can't afford to be away - not really. I am needed at home to take care of my very special somebody and see to it he has enough energy left to go to his job and enjoy some bits of life. But I just have to go. So I have sold off some stuff I own, I am not buying any clothes this year, etcetera. And Cees has promised me he will manage and not run himself ragged. BobP (or who-ever is collecting the contributions) you must have received my letter and payment by now... So, hey, if I can do it, why can't you?

Ave, ATTABABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hound Dogg, and Grant, and everyone else who is extremely strapped for cash, when I lecture, I do not direct it at people who absolutely have no financial or situational means to attend. Not everyone in the world can do this. Let me tell everyone that if they have children aged 3 and up, and are concerned about care, let me know. My niece is coming to my house and is going to be running OUCH Convention day care. Clark is going to stay at the house at night to give adult supervision overnight. Please everyone, do everything you possibly can to get here. Hell if you live within a 6 hour drive of me I'll come and pick you up!!! If it gets our attendance in the triple digits I'll personally pay expenses to be sure we get the results we are seeking out of this convention. Golden opportunity is staring us in the face here! back of my soap box hehe Cat p.s. please do not feel like I'm going to be ticked or upset with anyone who is financially or situationally confined, there are legitimate reasons for absence, but if you don't have a legit reason, then stand up and be heard! (I'm not determining legit, you are)
