WOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Just got a phone call from the New England Headache clinic! Dr. Alan Rapaport will be sending a representative if he is unable to attend to speak at the convention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's official, we have a speaker! LOL Now if we can get the other 2 big ones and Dr Sanderson from the ER we should have a great panel for round table discussion and information on the trials for cluster sufferers! Cat

Great news, Cat!!! Good work. but I had to copy this from 'Interest in Convention' << on Apr 1st, 2003, 2:29pm, brain_cramps wrote: 4 people registered!!! WTF? SHIT!!! Because of my present employment/financial situation, I'm about 95% sure I won't be coming. Reasons: - no $$$ - 50+ hrs each way driving time - not sure if I'll be working then. - IF I'm working, how do I ask for almost 2weeks off from a new job? - possible problems at the border (think I've got them worked out ) If I'm willing to try to make an effort like that to get there, what about you people that are closer, can afford a flight, don't need the better part of 2 weeks off work to drive? STAND UP and BE COUNTED!!! Do you really think someone notable/important... is going to go out of their way to talk to 4 people? THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!! grant |

Come on folks! We now have a Dr that has participated in the clinical trials coming to talk with us! This is a golden opportunity to let him and his colleagues know what kind of research we want done!! This isn't going to be a inactive convention. This is our chance to sit in a round table forum with some of the better docs that are researching CH's and pushing for clinical trials to get us a drug SPECIFICALLY for CH! It's time to start rowin, we have the audience, BIG TIME, the WHA, the National headache association, an ad in JAMA, C'MON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 of us can't bring change, find every way possible to get to this convention! Remember, the more of us that are there, the cheaper our room rates will be too! For $78 a night...that's a damn good price for what you are getting out of this convention! Ok off the soap box now! Cat, I AM SO VERY PROUD OF YOU GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know how hard you're working, while worrying about your husband, your kids, your country and your head. Don't be disappointed in the small number of registrants yet. Most people wait til it gets closer to the time of the convention for some reason. Hey people!!!! hello!!!!! If you know you're coming.......please register now, O.K.?????????? LindaH
