Sorry if anyone feels i was trying to piss anoyone off with my views of a protersor post. I have strong feelings about this just like you do and I have not deliberately attacked, insulted or flamed anyone on this board, look back at my replies.
some of you have viewed my words as some kind of attack on their viewpoints, but that's not the case. Also my posts are wordy because these are complex issues and as I already have been lumped in with rioters and people that dont like soldiers - so I felt the need to over-explain myself.

Michael,

It looks to me that you like those kind of responses to your posts. Why dont you just let it go if you dont??
You had to know that posting that thread about protestors would have gotten ALOT of negative responses. I kept myself out of there but my opinion is if it bothers you that much then why not just drop it and leave it alone?

I suggest you find yourself a heavy duty flamesuit to put on now....

Michael...I have to agree with Suzy, why carry continue with a new post that is bound to be as popular as your last, and are you not now as guilty as those you accuse as well as making it personal...???

At the end of the day we are all here because we suffer with clusterheadaches or support someone who suffers, okay sometimes the posts wander off subject and people voice opinions...???? but if you don't want to take the good with the bad then don't post at all....and believe me this comes from someone who got severley flamed (and quite rightly so), but since then I have made some really good friends and value all thier opinions good or bad....lets face it we learn by our mistakes.

Okay thats it im outta here.

Do you want an honest assesment? All of us have been there or are there. We understand but for crying out loud, find something else to do!
Chase small farm animals or circus mdigets. Drive a John Deere to the nations capital...on second thought, don't. That really FUBARed traffic for a few days.
Are you feeling sorry for yourself.   Cry  Yup. Do you have the right? You bet.  Angry  Anyone in cylce does but that is where we come in to get you to SNAP out of it!

Mikey...chew yer food first before you swallow. I have been here daily for almost 4 years.

Clusterheadaches....and managing the pain thereof.

...lets cut to the quick. I have been and grow more anti- Iraq -War everyday. I see what these war monger sons a bitches say here about people like me....if I was to catch fire in a protest they would not pee on me to put me out.

BUTT....if I need Clusterheadache advise, support, even material things to manage my pain those war monger sons a bitches would be and have been there for me. We shall always have wars and we shall always have clusterheadaches....pick yer battles.

You addressing and drawing the attention of a newcomer with CH looking for help by yer ..."welcome"......and sucking them into yer whining world...well...I just thought it was ...uh...dare I say fucked up.

The "war" threads are fine. Stay and fight there as long as you like. I think they are inevitable given the circumstances...and I feel newbies that wander into those fire fights are smart enough to know what they are. Yer "welcome" sign is misleading.

I gotta go disrupt the orderly flow of traffic in amerikan cities now.

Hi Michael,
I hope your head stops hurting soon, painless.

This is the most a most unique place, this message board. I have never been a part of anything quite like it. When I found CH.com I was in the middle of the worst cycle I had experienced in many years.  Months of getting hammered every day. When I first read the guestbook I cried like a baby. Never in my life had anyone ever really knew what this shit felt like.....untill now.

You know...Ted knows....Charlie knows.....jonny knows...and so on, and so on. Thousands of clusterheads (who are also people) in one place! WOW! (Thanks DJ) It seems the disease of clusterheadaches is not predjucie, it does not care who you are.

I had a small difference of opnion with a more senior member after I had been here a  short while. I was gonna go through the archives and everywhere this guy ran his mouth about something stupid I was gonna make "file" out of. What I found instead was an overall pattern of this person helping other people. Oh sure there were some dumb things (and still are) but I have learned to try and respect people for who they are. I have been more willing to be open minded just because of the sheer diversity here.

I am pretty much pain free for now but I still check in every day. When I find something stupid on the net I might post it, for a laugh, and try to welcome the new people. I really do hope the beast leaves you soon.

Finished rambling Mark

michaelc,
at the risk of alienating even more people let me clarify a few things.
i did not ,do not question your right to express your opinions here. i do question your common sense and common dignity in choosing to express them through protests now that the balloon has gone up and peoples kids are fighting and dying. i ask you again why you can't understand that taking police assets or the simple act of creating a traffic diversion is an assinine thing to do at a time when we are focused and afraid of retaliatory acts.
i am sorry that you are experiencing the beast right now but i am pushing 700 and something days without a pfd, and 40 something without multiple 10's and i am no where near the pain champ around here. i will be happy to support you in our common quest against that enemy but i ask you , can't you put the public displays of your dissatisfaction with our leadership on hold until our kids come home?

and den,
as to the right wing war mongering sons of bitches rant.....
your wrong! i would gladly piss on you at a protest whether you were on fire or not ;D
my grampa was a conscious objector during ww1 and so chose to be a litter bearer so as not to have to kill anyone.
my dad enlisted shortly after pearl and served as a tailgunner on b25's in the pacific theater and did not enjoy a minute of it.
my only brother enlisted and volunteered for nam where he was a track commander during tet of 68
i enlisted on my 17th birthday and on my 18th volunteered for vietnam where i hung out of the side of a huey and tried to put our guy's safely on the ground ,but more importantly bring them safely out! and it sucked!

since i have been old enough to vote i have voted mostly as a democrate including this last presidential election.

As usual, Den has the right words to express this thought.  I serve on three different boards for charity organizations, and volunteer on another two, and not one of these groups can hold a candle to the group of people on this board.  Yes, these boards are large organizations, with big budgets.....we do good works, but their help is completely sterile and impersonal.  The people on this board actually care, and will reach into their own pockets and bend over backwards to help someone

Personally, I enjoy the varying opinions stated in the threads.  To me, it is always interesting to read different opinions, to see someone passionate enough to research an answer to a post (or not.... ;D Wink).  Life would be terribly boring and insipid if we all lived with same mind set.  The diverseness of the board keeps me coming back to read it.

When you cut through the bullshit, the people here care.  To me, that is an amazing thing.

Tracey

btw:  I am missing a board meeting today, because of my head.  I've had two phone calls concerning my absence.  If I missed something with this group....I'd be flooded with calls, messages, mail.  Like I said.......amazing.

michaelc,

Your post here was one of the first *started* by the anti-war contingent, and I appreciate that.  But, please, did you not expect *somebody* to disagree with you?  For Christ's sake, you posted *because* you saw too many opinions on the wrong side of the fence (as far as your beliefs go) and then you complain when people respond?

Michael,

You presented your issues on the war in a thread under that specific topic.  You got replies to it.  What was said to you in that topic was directly relating to your views on the war.  IT IN NO WAY REPRESENTS WHAT A FELLOW CH'ER GETS FROM THIS BOARD.

I could have respected you for citing your opinion in a war thread.  I can no longer do that because you have crossed the line.  If you believe this board to be so fucked up then why are you still here?  If you feel that you and any others that come here new, will get nothing but flames, then why do you stay?  There's not a person on here that hasn't at some point been flamed.

I can't believe you would intentionally try to send fellow sufferers away because you don't like how you were responded to in a war thread.  Not doing it intentionally? I suggest you look deeper, you wouldn't have posted that under welcome if you weren't.
Are you really that insensitive a person that you would rather send a person suffering the hell of a ch away because you don't like the political flaming you took?  Unbelievable.

Make that three threads (at least?) you whined about me on all because I wouldn't sit back and take your insults. And after taking enough of your shit I bit back to which you responded "hook, line and sinker." You were trying to piss me off and when you finally did I did bite back. Lesson of the day? Don't throw rocks at dogs and cry when the dog bites back. Jesus, fubar. Just how many posts do you have tears running down your face as you write about me anyway? I'm just human. Not a God. No reason to obsess over me, though I am flattered. Or, are you trying to turn people against me by saying over and over I started something (because I had enough of your arrows being shot at me) with you and you're taking your toys and going home? And then when you get a few people saying "don't leave," you'll come back and say "I don't understand why Ted didn't send me flowers for giving him constant shit."
