What is your worst CH horror story?

In a car in bumper to bumper traffic with a 10?
On a plane sitting next to an old lady that wont shut up and you have a 10?
In an office meeting with a 10 comming on fast?
What is yours?, everyone has one dont they?
Mine?
Sitting at a memorial service for my best friend. He killed himself and while I was at the service it ramped up real fast. There was no way I was going to leave and I didnt, tears rolling down my cheeks ( I lucked out on location) I suffered through 45 mins.
What say you?

That really sucked for you Jonny.
I can honestly say that since most of mine happen while in bed, I am safe that way. Just this last cycle though was out on my usual friday night having a beer and it hit but lucky for me was with all people who knew me so they just let me rock away till the imitrex kicked in.
Ok, its friday, so you know where I'm going now.... ;D

Small arms fire exchange in an alley between my partner and I and several perps. Had a CH clamp down within seconds. Must not have felt it comming due to addrenilin (sp). Right eye watering so bad I couldn't see, had to shoot left handed, but only had coverage for right handed shooting. Decided WTF, I feel like dying anyway, reloaded full clip (14), stormed the perps at a run shooting left and holding my right eye. Partner thought I was nuts, perps freaked. Outcome in my favor. Had to visit the department shrink for awhile after that.

 ....as a supporter I'd have to say the worst one I've seen Wes have was last November, I'd gone to pick him up from his brothers house...(he'd been there working on a car)...when I got there he was already 1/2 hour into a kip 10 no meds as he was then still undiagnosed...he was in the garage going mad...don't know which was worse watching him or trying to calm his brother down, noone until then except me had seen him go through this...it lasted over 2 hours...hope to god it never happens again!!!!
btw...think each and every ch hit is a horror story in itself...

I realize the Telcom business is tough, but I didn't realize Sprint was so hostile! ;D
One of my worse horror stories was when I was umpiring a college baseball game between Arizona St. and Stanford behind the plate.
I felt a real bad one come on, and there was nothing I could do about it...... my eye was just blazing behind my mask, and it was one of the longest 30 minutes of my life!

I've had lotsa horror episodes. Once at work (while I was pretending to everyone that things were FINE  .......) Manhattan - went out for lunch with a bunch a people.....had mexican food and 2 margaritas...........we all went back to work and then the theme from JAWS set in...........I tried so hard to hide it, but you know what happened. It was not pretty. The Margaritas ...........anyhow, got sent home in a limo with a puke bag........
One of the many times I got hit at rush hour in the City. All I could focus on was getting to my train. Got to the train. Attack hit 10 -- and then I realized that I was sitting in the BAR CAR with heavy smoking, gambling commuters - ya jes hadda be there
Working with the President of National Cash Register............he was dictating a mediation plan to me to be distributed to the union and the representatives...........I was sitting there taking the dictation while tears poured outa my eye (I kept sticking my toungue up against my upper back teeth - the pain!)............had to prepare a package for each union rep while the guy was standing over me. I don't know how I did it. But ---- I DID IT!!!!
My clusters hit late at night and early in the am.....but then at peak cycle they hit rapid fire all day long.....After 25 years, I got lotsa stories

This past Tuesday. Kip8/9 while driving and cutoff by a guy who then flipped me off after the anti-locks kicked in. Read about in "Did Something Stupid".

Like the others, after 20yrs I gotta million of em.
This last cycle, I had an unusually long KIP-10. It must have started around 1AM and went for 6hrs. At 7AM, I decided maybe fresh air would help and went for a walk (yeah I know I'm crazy...) Anyways there I am, curled up in a ball on the sidewalk bawling like a baby as people are walking by on their way to work. Just a little humiliating!!!

I've had many horror stories but one that I can think of right now is getting hit with a KIP 10 while "strapped down" in the MRI machine! 
This was the 3rd time they tried to do an MRI on me....found out I was claustrophobic the 1st 2 times. So this time they were trying an "open MRI"..yeah, right!Open, my A*S*S! It's just wider across the shoulders but still just as close to your face. So I was already in a panic because I didn't want to be in there and then the 10 started! Those who have had the MRI know about that damn clanging sound that goes on the entire time!!! I had tears running down my face the whole time, I really wanted to die at that point. The ony reason I didn't make them stop the test is because I didn't want to start all over again...just get it over with!!
I made the nurse stay in the room with me and keep her hand on my leg so I knew she was there because I thought I might run out air (that's how claustrophobic I am) and no one would hear me struggling!
Not a fun 45 minutes!

Hmmm worst CH horror story.
I'd have to say that was right after my hysterectomy to fix the damn headaches. Woke up from 6 hours of surgery with no pain medication because I had an epidural that was supposed to work and didn't. Woke up in extreme pain and continued to get worse. Got hooked up to a morphine pump, and finally started to feel some relief from the surgery, and started to feel really nauseated. Called the nurse, but she said I couldn't have any more anti nausea meds. K 9 hit. Shit hit the fan. I got up and got to the bathroom by myself, and after puking for several minutes was able to ring for the nurse who walked in and found me in tears banging my head on the concrete wall.
After they got me back in bed and checked to see how much damage I had done to the surgical site, they gave me another shot of anti nauseant and upped my morphine. All the while asking me if it was my stomach that hurt, and not believing me that my head hurt more than my stomach.
Fun Fun. Kids, do not try this at home!

OK, worst day (and probably best too)...
It was about 4 1/2 years ago when I was at work and one of those nighttime skull crushers hits me. I had just about finished up a presentation for a client when my eye started to water. I tried to work through it but nothing helped so I finished the meeting and headed to the bathroom. It was then that I noticed that my pupil in my right eye was about half the size of the left. That really freaked me out and I then made the stupid decision to drive myself to my doc to see if I'm dying! I got into my truck and drove along while banging my head on the side window. Well, I honestly have no idea how I actually managed to drive there without killing myself (and others) but by the time I got to the doc office the HA was just ending. It was that day that my GP (first time I went to her) diagnosed my CH. Of course she was a little dramatic and said ... "I think I know what's up but let me check on something..." then she walked out of the room. Well after what seemed like 2 or 3 hours (probably 5 minutes) she returned and said "You have cluster headaches" I was thinking that she was calling my wife and the morgue because I was going to drop dead right there.
Oh well, that's probably the worst time (and most relieving one too)

I opted for some Tantric, Filter and some good old Zeppelin. The operator let me bring a CD. He stopped during the scan to ask what the hell was one song... it was Dread Zeppelin. For those who don't know, Dread Zeppelin is band that plays Zeppelin songs, to a reggae beat, with an Elvis Presley impersonator as the lead singer.

My first attack in front of my children. It was this Christmas. I always try to stay hidden from them, but my trex nasal spray (all I had at the time), was in the kitchen. Made it in there, grabbed the spray and couldn't get the damn package unwrapped, all coordination seemed to have left me. Ended up on my knees, banging my head, crying.....the whole bit. They didn't know what to do......daughter was crying, son was panicking, oldest son was trying to call a damn ambulance. Husband was yelling at me, trying to get my attention (which was a total impossibility). He had never seen an attack that bad, I've always hidden them from him too. They were all yelling something at me…..and I was useless. Couldn't even explain and comfort them.
Then there was the time I was stuck in a hotel room in Mexico at 2am. Woke all the neighbors. Hadn't been diagnosed yet, so didn't know trex would work. Kills me to think of all that trex available down there….and I didn't have a clue.
Then there was the night I flashed my son's fraternity brothers. That was a horror for him and me!!!

I couldn't even do the headphones in the MRI machine...made me feel even more closed in! What a loser! 
not4hire, I"ve done that drive to the ER by myself before...luckily I only lived a mile from the hospital at the time. but once there, the nurses wouldn't let me drive home after the meds so they called a cab...well, if you've ever tried to call a cab in Overland Park, KS...forget about it...you'll be waiting all night. so when the nurses weren't looking I snuck out of there and past the security guard and drove myself home....
the things we will do!!
