;D ;D Hi Family, I may be making mistake here, I usually don't get into these phillosophical debates, and I am only making an opinionated statement here, as in a very real way the French are responsible for me having Clusters! How Could this Be Possible??? I know it's a very abstract way of looking at it, however if the French took over the 2 largest Rubber plantations in Viet Nam and completely ruled their economy, when the people were tired of a forgien power running their lives they (the French) burnt 1 of the two to the ground and devastated the Country, which directly led to the Viet Nam War. Also contributed to the reason the Vietnamese people didn't trust any Caucasian people, even South Viet Nam. They were very open and friendly to the others, of other than Caucasian ethnithiticy. I don't understand using force to disarm a country when we are so well armmed ourselves, A super power, yes, no reason to be the super bully or super watchdog for the whole planet. If this war starts there is a very real possibility that the consequenses will be unimaginable, China and Russia have already formed a strong alliance to counter their view of the United States Position as Daddy of the Globial Family. It is a Global Community that we are in now and all countries should come together and help those in need, With all the richness and goodness on this planet there should be no Hunger,No area of extreme need for any commodity. With the Technology we have today, they can read the brand name of a Pen in someones hand from Satallite Imagery. Why can't we then send in a Hit Squad of our expert CIA Assissians to take out Suddam without killing thousands or innocent people? As a Disabled Viet Nam Vet, I would think we would learn not to stick our Big Government Nose so far up outher Countries Business and Offer Help instead of Forcing it! 1 of those Tanks cost: would fund the Lab in the VA Clinic here in Naples for 5 years or more, it's been shut down 2 times already for lack of funding! Go Figure. I guess the counter point would be imagining the larges protest we have had so far, 10's of thousands of people in the street, In Iraq Saddam might have released poisonus Gas and killed all of thoses people, the same thing could happen here if !!"We the People" don't stand up and do something now to control our own Government(Of the People, For the People, By the People?) not the Elite, not the Bush Family but the Global Family and the citizens of the USA! Come on sailpappy, get real. Nobody actually wants war. I don't want war, and I'll guarantee President Bush doesn't want war, he knows the economy is bad enough now. God knows I pray for ALL nations troops in that big ugly sandpit everyday. It would be terrible for even one those people to die. But, they are there to protect us, our children, and our children's children. What the hell do you think would happen should Sadam find a way to deliver a nuclear weapon. I guaran-fuckin-tee you that Sadam Insane would not have moments hesitation to send a Nuke here. North Korea allready has means to fuck-up the west coast of the US. It won't be long before Sadam has the means too. What are you thinking when you say thousands of innocent people will die. If that does happen, it will be Sadam Insane that will murder thousands of his own people and blame it on the US. He's murdered thousands of his people before, whats to stop him this time! You talk about the French in Viet Nam! Who was the there to bail their STUPID asses out when the shit hit the fan. Not only then but don't forget WWII. If it wasn't for the good ole USA their butts would not exist today. And they have the gall to take the stance that they have, fuck them! The ONLY reason they've taken the stance they have is because of the BILLIONS of dollars they've invested in Iraqi oil! I really don't get people like you who have the gall to protest! I realize its your right, and that is what this country is based on, "Freedoms"! But don't you think that why our troops are there to uphold the God given freedoms of this country. Please support our troops! But, you'll probably be the first in line to spit in their faces when they return. Yeah sure, France, Russia and Belgium don't support an Iraqi invasion. But look the look at all the countries that do-Great Britain, Spain, Portugul, Italy, Japan, Australia etc., etc., etc.,! Hell one of our own here on CH.com "Aussie" himself just left for the ass-hole of the world to fight for your own "freedoms"! I fuckin dare you to tell him that you do not support him or his country! YOU IDIOT - wake up and smell the coffee!

I'm sorry, it was indeed unfair for me to get into name calling and mudslinging! Moreover, it is indeed everyone's right to voice their opinion. So, sailpappy you got my gander up. But was it wrong for to also voice my opinion! I truly don't want a single person to die in this whole stupid mess, it would be a tragedy! There are many country's over there with thousands of troops. My thoughts and prayers are indeed with those folks! My apologies! Parrothead-Mark

;D I knew this was a mistake, I Joined the Army at 17 to go to Nam and do what I thought was the right thing, I am still paying the price today with my end closing in, I meant in a Perfect world we would all come together for the good of all, but as long as there are people in power that over look coruption, throw our tax dollars around like it's a personal fund to spend anywhere they want, and then shortcut their own citizens, well Hell I guess I better Join you(Parrot Head, and Jonny) and all the others that don't get the overall implications of what is about to happen and march with the KKK on our own terror story. You RIMF really amaze me, If you had ever been in a third world country to see what life out side this Glass Palace we live in was like I think you might rethink your position. I don't want to sound in any way that I ally in the Terrorist mindset, but there is a way to handle all of these issues with deplomicy and tact instead of slautering innocent people. Our world will not unite until there is a Catastrophic event so Dramatic that it threatens all life on the planet, but by then it will be too late. North Korea is a force to be reconed with, but their people should not have to freeze to death in order to please the UN all they wanted was the Oil promised to them if the shutdown the Nuclear Program in the first place. Believe me when I tell you, I worked with South Korean Forces in Nam, their sense of duty and dedication are so far superior to ours that you can't measure them on the same scale, and the North are Rocks compared to them. China could defeat us if their man power attacked us using tooth picks as weapons, you just can't imagine what a human wave of soldiers is until you have survived one! I was there and I still have nightmares about it, so maybe you guys better wake up, hold our Government accountable for the waste in spending and turn them back into an enity that serve its people not bleeds them. Again Just My Humble Opinion, but Hey lets send some more money to Isreal, I'm sure they need it to imprison the Palestines! Pappy

Good to hear from you Pappy. You sound good. To thread: Save the name calling please, for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and a few on the Hill. We’re at least talking to one another. It’s okay to disagree. We have differing opinions but we are not “idiots,” stupid, or pacifists. We’re opponents, not enemies. It would be nice to make sure we go after the six-foot-four bad guy with a towel on his head and attached to his luggage. Tell me why it’s hard to spot this guy......... | Nothing personal Pappy, but BULLSHIT! If they had half the chutzhpuh, balls, gall, FREEDOM or whatever you want to call it that American's have we would be speaking Korean right now. I really cannot believe a United States Veteran would ever say such a thing. Go outside and look around, you are IN the greatest Country in History, created by the greatest people to ever live. Personal Freedom is what makes this such a great country, the ability to create, share, invent, worship....... Look at what this experiment in Freedom has produced in a little over 200 years. The Asians have had a hell of a lot longer and accomplished a hell of a lot less. WHY?

There is no reality, only perspective. So, depending on where you've been and how you react to situations, the world is one complicated place. Self preservation and self interest apply to nations as well as individuals, neither should be backed into a corner for then only bad things can happen. Too bad we react rather than proact. Okay, my philosophizing is over.

And thanks for staying my friend even though we dont always see eye to eye in politics... Love to you friend Ree to quote my second born "Freedom isn't free anymore, and it will take the blood of a few brave Patriots to regain that freedom..." God bless his brave soul to fight for what he believes... God bless this country that allows him to do so. <<<~~~~Bill check under dancin Tim.... hehe

;D ;D OK Jonny, I'm getting tired or the Oxy references, Maybe the lithium isn't for your clusters, its the drug of choice for Manic Depressives first and foremost. Yes I take Oxy contin, but there is no high from it, only no more pain, I am under a closely scrutenized control by a very good Neurologist. You and your cuts at me because of the fact that I take Oxy Contin serve only to show your ignorance! I don't abuse it, I take it in the prescribed manner and I'm tired of your insinuations that it is any way affecting my ability to think rationaly, someone taking Lithium in the doseage you take could be considered a MENTAL Patient! I have stood up and fought so that you don't get called a "Faggot" because you choose to where your hair long "way out of style in the south by the way! I suffered the indignitys of being called all the name imaginable because I had long hair way before it was fashonable, and isn't it funny how it went full circle from the hipest people to the red necks! I read, I research and I study every thing I wrrite about. I lived the Hippy Era and fought all the resistance so you didn't have to, I had Clusters when you were still wetting the bed(might still be) and had many drugs tested on me that were experimental so you can reap the benifit today with your drug cocktail. You just can't stop your self from beratting every post I put up, I guess If I stooped to your mentality and talked like an uneducated, arrogant not a very nice person, that only knows trashy expelitives to express his opinion you and I would be good friends? I have done a little research on you too my clusterhead assosiate and I see the trend you have going of not being able to handle your own problems in an adiquate manner. So go suck down another corona and soon your inebreated soul will be able to sleep in the drunken escape because of the mental pain you must live in for all the Problems you don't seem to be able to resolve, JMHO your Target Pappy

History shows what happens when governments are not reined in. The roman empire, the turkish ottoman empire, the crusades, Hitlers third reich, Napolean, Nixon etc.etc.... All became overconfident and met there demise. If bush and company is not held in check wwiii will not be far away. Hitler had a homeland security agency. They called it the gestapo. Few have survived through the ages. I am talking from memory and may not remember all the facts but we must tread lightly. .. . Sailpappy says it well if you reread his post. Parrothead I believe you are not in the majority. Iraq has been there since the beginning of recorded time and ruled by all of the above at one time or another. We may be strong in the USA but we are divided. .. . United we stand divided we fall. ........... . George W. Bush is the most dangerous man in the world at this moment not Osama nor Sadaam who has been put in check for now. It is now a game of saving face. .. Sure a threat still exists but it has been addressed. ............. On another side............... . To gain access to turkish soil only cost us 30 billion dollars. To send the troops to the mideast only cost each man and woman here 8,000 dollars. that wasnt in my budget. Our money amounts to some 100 billion plus a year in the mideast countries. Not just one country but virtually all the mideast countries. We have bought our way in. I say lets cut our losses and get out. With this money we could have eliminated hunger in the western hemisphere And provided medical care for all who needed it. To keep them there for another 20 or so years to impose our will, will cost each of us thousands more. . Terrorists must be stopped but who is now the terrorist. Shoot sadaam or drop a bomb on every palace. This worked on khadafi who is now an ally. But send our troops back home to bolster our economy not thiers. If the peoples in some parts of the world do not wish to be free let it be. Pardon my ramble.

Jarvis: I agree with a lot of your post but although I cannot stand Bush, I can’t compare him to historic despots or ancient emperors. In the last half-century, all Presidents have been the most dangerous men in the world. I agree that Bush & Co. have used 9-11 to get pretty damn nosy and whittle away at some of our freedoms. It isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last. All governments do this. It’s not an excuse for it but it isn’t new. You want to worry? Worry about John Ashcroft. He is a dangerous man. Homeland Security needs a name change. It doesn't sound American. Every time I hear it, I hear: "Fatherland." Not good. It's not the Gestapo though. That's overdoing it. Tom Ridge by the way, is a hell of nice guy. I wish there were more Republicans like him. Charlie
