Eye seizures and after shocks?

OK - I know this is going to sound weird, but after all, it is coming from me and if it didn't sound weird then that would really be weird because I know I sound weird most of the time so it would be weird to have me not sound weird. Ya follow? Whew.

Last night I had a lovely little visit from the beast. I sucked Den as he rubbed the O2...uhhh...I meant...I sucked O2 as Den rubbed my neck (I swear there is a serious question hidden in this message somewhere...use your secret decoder ring to find it!!) The combination of the two killed the ch in about 10 minutes, or so I thought. After I took the mask off....the pain came back for a few seconds....then stoppped again...came back and then stopped again....it was like after shocks from an earthquake. Each shock very high on the scale but only lasting a few seconds. The whole after shock thingie lasted about ten more minutes. Plus, I was freezing cold to the point of my teeth chattering, which normally happens to me BEFORE I get a ch. Has anyone ever experienced any of this? I have migraines as well and at times get variant headaches that are a combo of migraine and ch according to my neuro. Now what I am thinking is that the after shocks sound an awful lot like CPH...is it possible to have both...CH and CPH? At the same time? (Good job secret agent...you found the first question.....keep reading to see if you can find the second.)

OK, now here is the other weird part: After the after shocks....I felt like my eye (the eyeball, eyelid, undereye, etc) was having a seizure. Serious twitching and vibrating and shaking and just plain freaking out. Dennis looked at it several times and could see nothing. Anyone had this before? Or know what it is or could be? Or know the phone number of the mother ship so they can come take this polymer rod out of my head? Anyone?? Anything?? Bueler? (Mission complete!! Congratulations!)

OK I'm done now. Thank you.

Peace and love,
Georgia

Georgia, I know the aftershocks well!  For me they are stabbing pains that come almost rhythmically after the main bout is over.  I usually don't get these until I am nearing the peak of my cycle though.  As far as the "eye tremors" hehehe  I get those on and off all the time.  I do seem to get them more after a particularly bad ha.  But I get them out of cycle too!

I think the term for what that is (the aftershocks anyway) might be cluster-tic syndrome.

To summarize:  Yeah!  Thats just like me!

Georgia:  Yes, definately sounds familiar!  The sharp shooting zaps are extremely intense, and thankfully brief.  Like about 20 seconds of zapping, which is most likely to occur after a CH.  But even now that my CH have been 'silent' I still sometimes get the zaps.

Yes, eye twitching.  Last March (peak of cycle) my eye twitched... for nearly the entire month!  Very maddening.  A few days ago when I was getting shadowy, my eye twitched for half the day.  For me the eye twitch is so closely related to my CH, that I consider it a symptom.  I don't know why it happens, maybe due to irritated nerve?  (when I had an irritated nerve in my hand it caused a hand twitch).  The eye twitch is always on my cluster side during cycle and closely associated with burning watery eye.

I get that sometimes right after I abort a CH. The pain starts breaking up, then starts pounding like a migraine, then it's reduced to quick stabs.  Actually It's doing that right now with light stabs behind the eye and in my upper teeth. That means I can go to bed now until my next visit at 4:30.

ps oh yeah, I get the the twitching thing sometimes two. I'm also getting the ear or tooth pain without the CH some times.
