Why some episodics stay and why

some chronics are there, chronically for all of us...

First off, I understand about not wanting to be confronted by that horrible pain, once you're out off it's clutches.

Other hand - it is rather stupid to think you will not get it again. Read this site, read the info at ouch - big chance you'll be back.

So, being a reasoning body, when I arrived here  I went to gather as much info I could. And when my episode stopped, I went on, and tried to support others.

But what I think is, I was a supporter long before I became a sufferer. I still sit on a help line 1 afternoon a week. My partner has some handicaps, where support is in order. It is, I think, a mindset.

Some of "our"chronics are eternally helpful. They must have the same mind set, for some chronics just grumble.

Okay, I understand why. But turning up here, some years ago, with more questions than one wise person can answer, I feel eternally gratefull to the EPISODICS WHO STAY and THE CHRONICS WHO CAN FIND TIME TO HELP OTHERS, to my great amazement.

So, okay, it is a judgement. So bite me!

These nasty ch's seem to be a lifetime affliction....so the commitment to OUCH (and the board support) should be a lifetime commitment.  Just remember how happy you were when you found this site...how much it helped you.  Wouldn't you want someone else to feel that way.

I know everyone has a busy life, and it's hard to make time for everything, but checking in once or twice a week when out of cycle.....just letting everyone know you care.....this could make a big difference in someone's life.  It has made a difference in mine.....and the people who have helped me....they probably aren't even aware they did.  Just by reading the posts to others.......they helped me (or made me laugh my ass off...and laughter helps tremendously).

Just my opinion........ Smiley

The pain is unique,  finding someone who understands that pain is unique, and the need to keep this bond lasts.

We come back because the memory of the pain compells us to, whether we have felt it personally or have seen it in a loved one......this is our neighborhood and somebody here might needs us.

If my headaches started up again, this is the only place that I would come to....to you, my clusterfriends.

We hang around here because we've been there....and just maybe we will say something that might help someone make it through another day.  Maybe I will say something that will make a newbie feel what I felt the first time I came here.  I'll never forget it.........and I'll bet no one else here will either.

And I wouldn't want to miss the entertainment of the clashing of views....the in-fighting.  So many people...we can't all get along all of the time.

Now off I go to start trouble with a new contraversial thread.......hee he, LOL or Brahaaha.

By the way.......where's Kack?
