Hi All, I have my clusters every summer around the last week of June. This last summer they laster for 50 days. The worst I have ever had. Some of them lasting for 10 hours. But I do have a question. Towards the end of my cycle, I started to take coral calcium. When I first got my first bottle, I also received a pH test chart and paper. All I did was to spit on the paper and the greenish paper would turn colors depending on how much acid you had in your system. Bad is pH4.5 and good is 7.5. I tested 5.0. I started to take a lot of MSM and vit. C and a vitamin and minerial solution and around 4000mg of calcium twice a day. Today, after more than 4 months of taking this stuff, my pH is 7.5. I feel really great. My question is to all of you is, has anyone ever thought of taking high amounts of calcium? And, have any of taken this pH test? I did a lot or research on calcium and found that Marine Coral Calcium is the best you can take. Also, if any one wants to know where I get mine from I will tell you. I don't sell this but again I have done a lot of reasearch and I feel I have come up with the best that is on the market. Good luck to you all and I pray to God that this stuff I am taking and am planning on keep on taking will stop my headaches come June. My daughter is getting married the last week of June and I really want to walk down the isle without suffering with pain. Bob Hendry www.Skydivebob5@aol.com

Bob, I'm glad you seem to have found something that makes you feel great. I don't know if it's different for men and women, but as I had a full hysterectomy and am in surgical menopause, I take calcium to the tune of 1200mg a day. It does nothing for my CH. Tears the hell outta my stomach, but doesn't do squat for the headpain. As for the coral calcium, I'd be interested in knowing where you buy it, as the calcium with vit. D isn't as easily absorbed in the system as coral calcium from what I understand. Maybe it won't play havoc with my intestines either. Unfortunately though, my interest is purely in preventing osteoporosis. I can't speak for men, since I don't know how calcium affects the male system, but it doesn't do squat for a female with CH. Cat, do you absolutely HAVE to take that extra calcium in tablet form? 1200 sounds a bit much I'm thinking. There is a lot of calcium in food stuffs too! Have you looked into fytotherapy? Milk is a good source (avoiding eating spinach is another. Menopause is behind me now, and with some extra milk my bones are as good as ever. Think about it; and about the friends of the reef... lol

Glad this stuff works for you but I doubt it matters much what kind of calcium you use. Coral calcium is the stuff a guy named Bob Barefoot sells all night long in info-mercials for tons of money. It cures everything under the sun....so he says. Buy cheaper stuff and good luck Charlie

Ave, Because I'm only 34 and am not taking HRT the doc is concerned about osteoporosis and recommends I take 600mg in the morning and another 600 at night. It is alot, but if it helps prevent me being a bent over crochety old lady that falls and breaks a hip, I'll do it. Oh wait, I'm already crochety, just not old yet LOL (Lady could be questionable too ) Cat

Hope yer doing Ok Cat. Just wanted to say that 600 isn't a lot. It's standard and you can take more if you need. I do, but then I'm a geezer and worry about such things as brittle bones. Actually, I think some anti-convulsants interfere with the body's ability to absorb calcium. Some of us take these drugs and it may be worth looking into. Mean old Charlie

Bob, You must know me from somewhere. I can trip over air and break a toe. Regardless, the number of times I've "fallen and I can't get up" is numerous, though the one that made me the most angry was when I was 8 months pregnant and got up in the night to pee and hubby left the seat up. I didn't look. Sat down and me and my 8month pregnant belly couldn't get back outta the toilet!!!!!!!! And now you know.... the rest of the story LOL Cat
