You mean you've never seen the japanese super turtle show Gammara Bob? Consider youself lucky. When I mentioned gammara in the original over forty thread slammy simply said: "you're too fucken old!" LOL Cat ps, now that I've reread my post I see there is some lacking info...comes from a night of hell with the beast. Rex Appliances is a local (I think) appliance and electronics store - you know japanese made electronics) and Gammara is an old japanese show that you could hear the english words and see the japanese actors talking way out of sync with the words and this huge turtle with jet propulsion engines coming out of it's leg holes and would save the day.

I'm no longer confused. But, I have to admit that I've never heard of Gammara the jet powered super turtle. But, I also have to admit that I've never heard of a lot of stuff. What stuff? I don't know yet.

BobG....you never seen those cheap sci-fi japanese movies in blk/wht with dubbed english....lots of the words...'oh...uh huh...I see' that doesnt' fit the stress level's a conversation would have if huge 20 story monsters were ravageing your town smashin houses and people and cars....and if ya looked closely ya could see the zippers in the monster suits up the back as they stomped thru the sky scraper town makeing elephants noises real loud. Real classics...was a serious of movies with Godzilla ect....the big turtle would tuck his legs and head in then begin ta spin with jet action and lift into the air and fly off. I still watch those movies when I can catch one on......brings back old memories when life was much simp'ler......Pam

I've seen those cheap japanese movies before but never the turtle one. I've forgotten how ridiculous they were. Think that will make a good punishment for my son to sit and watch an entire movie next time he pisses me off.   suzy

The english was always dubbed over with bad "Japanese Engrish" - "we have men standing 'round da crock" ...LOL I loved em. I still watch them when they're on. KD doesn't like them though, she just rolls her eyes... ;D

Gee whiz. Everyone should kmow of Gamera, the rocket-powered spinning turtle doing battle with all the other villainous monsters. Gamera was always called “a friend to children.” Got this from Garrison Keillor years ago. Sung to ”Waltzing Matilda.” I almost have it right..... See the jolly monster sleeping on the sandy shore, dreaming his dreams by the turquoise blue sea, as he dreamt that he stomped though the flattened streets of Tokyo, will you come a-waltzing Godzilla with me. Waltzing Godzilla, waltzing Godzilla.....and so on Again. I know too much useless crap. Charlie
