Can't even write a clear post. Need to babble, between head hurts; the "B" is attacking days as well as nights now. Hope this is the tail end of the cycle. Been going on since June. Even contemplating going out of character and joining the basher crowd. DID I JUst TyPe that? Yikes, what a night, early morning, whatever. I getting old and dingy ;D ;D (dingyer, according to the spouse). Sanity to all.

Sorry to read the SOB has parked at your place. Hopefully he will soon tire from his visit and leave. Vent away if you need. It can be very helpful to ones inner self to get it out there, see it, and deal with it. Be gentle, I scare easily! NOT! Let er rip

For all of you sleep-deprived folks out there, just a reminder to try Dramamine. It's an over the counter anti-motion sickness drug, that is available in generic form also. It causes sleep as a side effect but doesn't let you get into REM sleep, which is when the beast usually attacks. You can't take it for more than a few days in a row (because you NEED REM sleep) but, at the peak of a cycle, any sleep you can steel is golden. Benadryl will also sometimes cause the same effect. Sometimes it helps so much even to just get 5-6 hours of uninterrupted shut eye. If an attack does break through, these meds won't do a thing to help. But maybe...just maybe...you can get through a couple of nights unattacked and feel stronger to fight the next day.

To the sleep deprived: Jonny clued me in that if you take abortive triptans (I use Maxalt MLT 10mg. or Zomig ZMT 5mg., both are quick dissolving tabs) before going to bed, they can prevent that night time attack, especially if you get hit, like I do, within 2 hours of going to sleep. The half-life of both of these tabs is in the 2-3 hour range. This has enabled me to get quality sleep these last 2 weeks. (thanks again, Jonny). PFDAN David J.

Paul, sorry to hear the beast is a bashing. Some pretty good ideas were posted here for "stealing" sleep. Hope one of them works for ya. Just one night of 6 hours sleep can work wonders. Sending good vibes your way.
