The Academic hospital in Leiden, hereabouts, is mounting a full scale MIR scan for clusterheads, to get as much info on our cooky brain they can. I was sollicited to take part. Then when I phoned on, I got turned down. . Turns out I am not a true episodic OR a true chronic either, at this point in time. Used to be episodic. Since spring I have had 1/2/3 painles attacks almost every day. (Except for the one occasion I forgot myself with liquorice.) Low level chronic is what I say, but that's not on the books. It is a shame. They need people to take part. I was willing eniough, but my case is not clear cut. I DO understand. They need evidence that cannot be refuted. Also, insurance does not pay for the MIR scan, since there is already a diagnosis. Precious research money would be wasted on a wishy washy case like myself. So... let's toddle on till somebody needs me again.
