PF again.... oh what a relief it is

Wow. I'm just so god damn happy now I can barely contain myself. I'm on my 5th pain-free day (TOTALLY pain free). I can't believe it. This has been, without a doubt, the most severe episode of CH I have dealt with yet. I thought I knew what Kip10 was. I was sooooo wrong. Kip10 is pure evil. Kip10 (if that's what I experienced) is something that can leave you with an ongoing sense of fear... just the possibility of it hitting you is enough to make your bowels loosen. Seriously, I've been hospitalized with pain, and now I would characterize those episodes as Kip7-8, now that I've experienced (repeatedly) what I am calling Kip10. So, why is it over now? Maybe it's the end of the episode, I don't know. I will tell you I tried a healthy dose of mushrooms, and I haven't had one shadow or cluster since that night, but that may just be coincidence. Whatever the reason, I feel like a million bux right now and I hope you all find relief like this. I almost forgot what it was like to get a good night's sleep. PFDAN to everybody! -fu

Cathi, Mushrooms have been said to help eliminate clusters. You can find plenty of information here by doing a search on 'mushroom' or 'shroom'. I can't claim they work (yet) but I *am* PF, and it happens that the last cluster I had was shortly before I shroomed. Shrooms aren't for everybody, so YMMV. Seems to have worked for me. -Fu

Kim, You're so right... being PF again makes me kind of giddy. The freedom to walk around the planet without fear of an ambush attack is something I forget about quickly, and appreciate all the more when it comes around. Charlie, This place is awesome. I'd never have given a second thought to mushrooms before I did all the reading here. There are loads of valid treatments being discussed here that I had not been told about. Oxygen was revealed to me here, and what a life changer *that* was. I almost feel guilty posting when I'm PF (I just feel bad for those still living in fear and pain) but I think it's important we all share good and bad experiences. I'd be in the loony bin if this place wasn't here. -Fu
