Remission for a year perhaps because...

Hey folks. It's been a while, but I decided to post because I have had somewhat effective results from dosing shrooms in the last year. I've been in remission for the most part since last November. Some shadows and maybe 6 or less attacks, all of which were no more than a 7.
Call it coincidence, or call it results. Either way, it seems to be working. The great thing is that I dose little enough, so that I don't have to feel the effects of the shrooms. Been there done that..
Otheriwse, oxygen works for me. Hey maybe with all the push we are having in Canada to legalize marijuana, they should consider shrooms too.
One question I do have though is whether or not I owe it to my doctor to let him in on my little experiment or not. Please comment. Do I tell him, or not. BTW, he is a cluster specialist. Therfore, he is very much unlike most docs. He works at the Montreal Migraine/Cluster clinic.

I wouldn't just come out and tell him that you tried that treatment.
I think you'll find out his feelings on the subject if you make him think it's his idea, such as.........
"Hey Doc, I heard that mushrooms might be effective treatment for CH. What is your opinion?"
If he is against the idea, don't mention it again.
If he favors the idea wait until your next appointment to tell him you tried it.

Bob G and Charlie said it perfectly as usual, but it is good if we can find a way to inform the medical profession if we DO find something unconventional or not, that actually works. If we keep it to ourselves, they'll never find it for themselves, as its not part of their recommended reading.

Congratulations on your success! Would you mind posting some specific information on your treatment, such as a little case history and details on your treatment sessions? You may help others attempting treat themselves by providing us all with some more info.
I've actually spoken with a couple of doctors about this treatment. I say go for it, you might even be surprised at what you might hear...

What ya do is...
-Get one a those voice scramblers from radio shack...so's noone can recognize yer voice on the phone.
-Put on disguise in restroom of a bus station
-Go to a pay phone
-Call yer Doc
-Say "Hello Dr. Whosits...i am a patient of yers and i have some info that you may or may not find enlightening. I (insert description of experimental medical treatment here) and it worked! If you would like more info and be so kind as to not refuse me further treatment and/or have a government agency limit my freedom for my own good...then I'll reveal my identity to you at our next appointment ." If he/she says yes...yer in like flint...if he/she says no...call them a narrow minded egotistical c o c k sucker and that you hope they are reincarnated as a lab rat.
-Hang up and quickly exit the area. Check for tails.
-Remove disguise
-smile...knowin you done good
