That is quite a group you've chosen from Sommelier....intense artists. maybe ...Siqueiros' Echo of a Scream.

Thanks for the kind words y'all. It took me forever to figure how to post it, but it kept me from getting in trouble in other parts of the board. Peppermint, Thanks for turning me on to a new artist. I’ll post a picture of “Echo of a scream” here for others, and I found the picture that inspired Siqueiro. "Echo of a Scream is based on a news photo of a wailing child abandoned in the ruins of a bombed Manchurian railroad station, the painting presents a desolate landscape rendered in somber grays and browns. The face of the child, contorted in a scream of sorrow and rage, is repeated in the center of the picture on a much larger scale. The disembodied head looms over the scene, amplifying the child’s heartrending agony. Siqueiros’s use of a photograph as his source and the repetition of imagery reflects the influence of his friendship with Soviet film director Sergey Eisenstein, who had introduced Siqueiros to the concept of using multiple perspectives in order to dramatize ideological meanings in his work." David Alfaro Siqueiros ECHO OF A SCREAM 1937, Mexico The original news photograph this painting is based on. The photo appeared in Life magazine at the time of a horrifying Japanese massacre in Nanking in 1937, which has become known as the "Rape of Nanking."

I'm impressed! I, for one, would like to see this display moved outside the message boards, and placed as a button to the left. DJ?
