Thanks and a prayer needed

I landed on this board after searching on Cluster Headaches. I landed with enthusiasm, a great need for supporters and someone to talk to. Echo and 2Late helped me. Lots of other people kicked in later, but I will always remember Echo and 2Late. They took me site unseen and helped me through some of my roughest nights. Pretty soon I got some meds that worked great for me. I got the O2 and the Imitrex shots within 60 days of my first cluster starting. I read the old posts over and over and knew that I could get more meds from the old posts. So I followed the directions, and low and behold got lots of Imitrex. This kept me sane for the 4 month cycle I had to endure. I am pain free now. I have gone 16 days without a headache. Did suffer nightmares when the clusters first stopped which really annoyed me. How could God let someone who had gone without 4 months without sleep suffer from nightmares that reminded me of Darks welcome posts. LOL, now, but at the time it was not funny. In the four months I have been here I have met some of the nicest people. The list is too long to name names, you know who your are. Those that supported me through thick and thin. All I can say is thank you. I needed it !!!! I know how you guys feel about not supporting others when out of cycle. Well, all I can say is; I helped people while in cycle and at the end of my cycle as best I could. I gave of myself the entire time I have been part of this board. Hopefully I made a difference. At this point with my husband's illness on top of the clusters, well, I just find myself falling short on support. You will have to put up with the short side of me till things get better. My husband and I are really challenged now. My husband is on week 10 of a 48 week treatment for HepC. He is not responding to treatment and things do not look good. While for some the HepC treatment seems to go fairly easily, for my husband is has not. Out of the last 10 weeks, my husband has been off 6 weeks due to illness. He started off on the wrong foot. Being just shy of a liver transplant, which made the odds of his treatment working slim. The doctor informed us this week that his blood tests show that treatment working are slim to none. I refuse to give up hope, so if you have a prayer to spare, say it for him.

Don't worry, If something comes up that needs your special touch you will know about it. Many thoughts and prayers going out to you and your husband. PJB

Hello Nancy, I will keep you and yours in my daily thoughts. I truly hope you and hubby receive a positive change in treatment and outcome. I for one, will not fault you for putting your priorities in the order you have chosen. I doubt anyone of us here would do differently. It surprised me to read that during the begining I may have made a small difference with what you were going through at the time. Just as you made a difference in my situation. That to me is what this is all about. People caring for, and reaching out for other people. Glad you're back on the MB. Keep us informed as to what's happening. Later Sis
