Thanks all.... You're concern touches me I'm home and all is good. Had a bit of a rough go of things as the freezing wore off at the site of the catheter before they finished....hurts like a son of a bitch when they pulled the cath out and put the plug in to stop the bleeding. They didn't believe me about the tolerance to sedatives, so it took longer than expected as they had to give me 5 shots of sedative (versed (sp) ) before I was satisfactorily quiet for them LOL. I couldn't quit asking questions, just kept right on rambling away at them all. The good news, no blockages, no hardening, got me a good healthy ticker. They think it's artery spasms that cause the ischemia, and they of course noticed that they couldn't get my b/p up internally (while in the left ventricle) or externally on the cuff, above 107 over 67 no matter what they did. Most of the time I was in the cath room my b/p was 90's over 60's. Anyway, guess I'm a true CH'er after all And one that has a good heart so far, although I got the traditional lecture from my cardio today about family history yada yada yada, and the fact that the artery spasm COULD be an indicator of coronary artery disease, so he wants me to keep in follow up with him. He's prescribed Novodex??? I think that's what it is as a preventative for the CH's and still says NO WAY to the triptans. So I have to go back to my family doc now and she has to give another referral so I can follow up with the cardio. Still some funky stuff (like the inversions an ST segment depressions and low b/p and palpitations that he doesn't like) that he wants to keep an eye on. So other than feeling like someone attacked my leg and doped me up for a week, I'm doing good. Ticker is good and healthy, just "interesting" LOL Have to take it easy for the next 5 days, they don't want that plug to come loose (where they closed the femoral artery) and because it hurt so much they think it may not have been closed as tight as they wanted so I'm on limited duty and nothing over 5 lbs for the next week Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry to keep you waiting for the results, it was a rough day yesterday. Cat

CH or bypass surgery? Well one can kill ya and as far as I know the other can't. Of course being out of cycle it's easy to say that CH is the better option LOL. Ask again when the cycle hits, then I may beg for bypass surgery LOL I'm just glad that I've got a healthy ticker for now I can't tell you how much the support has meant, and you all know that everything is fine and good because jonny and his BBB's said they had to be Luv to all Cat

That's excellent news Cat!! I'm glad there's nothing wrong with your heart. I remember last year when I went through something similar, I was freaked out when I got the call that I had to go see the cardio. It scared the hell out of me...but like you I was hoping that it was the cause of my CH. Figured that they could do something for the heart..CH..Nope! LOL... Get some rest, and let the hubby take care of the kids. They weigh more than 5 pounds right? ;D Hope you feel better soon. big fat hug from Canada Ann

Yup, I'm as ok as ok can be in a Cat's world The med, now that I'm not quite so stoned LOL is norvasc, and is for angina. The cardio thinks it will help with the CH's as well. We shall see! Here's hoping come thanksgiving week I don't start the next cycle at all. Anyone taken norvasc? It's a calcium channel blocker at lowest dosage 2.5 mg so as not to interfere with the hypotension. Thanks for all the best wishes, the support from everyone here really made things better for me while I was on my own. Cat

Glad your well. I had one of those angiograms done years back. A cerebal angio gram for the CH. Fucking morons. Soreness goes away in a few days though. Sit back, watch Oprah and eat cookies!

Well, it all started out as good news Although the arteries and left ventricle have no buildup, I just came from the ER ... b/p 108/72, heartrate 48bpm and severe chestpain. *sigh* I haven't started the norvasc yet, but I know it's a calcium channel blocker, which is supposed to do 2 things, help with the clusters and help with Angina. 48 bpm is a little scary though. I'm wondering if the norvasc is such a good idea ??? Will keep everyone posted, and here's hoping the beast doesn't come visiting for T-giving dinner again this year Roast Beast anyone   Cat p.s. Don, yeah it's not so bad a procedure, of course me being the anomaly I am, my angio site is still real sore because the freezing wore off before they were done so they had to do a lot of fiddling around to get in place and now my leg is still real sore....c'est la vie
