Anybody else have 'em? I have seen a couple of people mention them.....I have partial complex siezures, which basically make me zone out for about 10-20 seconds......I am aware of what is going on around me but unable to move or respond. It is wierd.

Hey Rev, Nope, about 5 years chronic and no siezures here. Some occasional "zoning out" but that's more self induced Marc

I have a history of complex partial seizures and grand mal seizures. However, I have been seizure free for 10 years and have had ch for 5 years.

This cycle I started having what I would call a siezure. In fact, that's what made me start getting serious help again rather than just dealing with this beast on my own. They last 10-15 minutes, strain muscles in the face, neck and back. I've been cought in the wrong position when one started, and ended up with a completely messed up neck for a week. During the 'siezures' I can't talk or move my mouth voluntarily, yet I am fully aware of everything going on around me. I just had an MRI on Thursday, and nobody has called to tell me I have a brain tumor or anything. I'd almost celebrate discovering a brain tumor... at least they can try to do something about that. -Fu

Glad you asked this question Rev. I have been wondering the same thing. I had febrile seizures as a child. The last 1 was when I was 6 and the CHs started at 7. Always wondered if there could be a connection. Dr. said an under developed hypothalamus caused the seizures. Now I hear the hypothalamus is involved in CH. Interesting!!! Does any body know if there are any studies on a possible connection between seizures and CH?

It's been 11 years since the CH. If I had choice, it would be CH for 43 years rather than the damn seizures. I call mine aborted grand mal. It's descriptive. No finding myself on the floor...just pissed off and not all that aware for a few minutes. Think it's what happened with my old keyboard yesterday. Charlie

I have both. I have better luck controling my seizures. My Dr. says he feels that they are related but ultimatly cant really explain or prevent either.
