When we walk to the edge of all the light, we have to take the step into the darkness of the unknown, and we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly. - Patrick Overton Decide today to try something different. You have the info right here at the tip of yer mouse. Use it. Cat... Let me know if you have any questions on your impending "Cat Cath". I've been through it twice. James (Dogg)

I go in on the 14th, at 7:30 for the cat cath, and so far they've been very clear in explaining everything that is going to happen. It was the cardiac nurse who told me that they had a ST Segment depression which indicated a possible coronary artery disease - myocardial ischemia, and what they would do after the cath as far as setting up dates and getting the ball rolling should I need angioplasty, atherectomy (or something like that) or bypass surgery. I'll know everything after I leave the cath lab on the 14th. I'm staying positive and counting on the fact I'm a stubborn cat and anything they find will be insignificant and that the stress test and holter results were just skewed Tell me what they found with you Dogg? and why they did your cath? Cat

Cat, I had one due to extreme chest pain that they could not diagnose. Had a Nuclear stress test that was inconclusive, so they wanted to do the Cath. Didn't find anything though. Second one was 2 years later, since I was still having the pain. Diagnosed it as costochondritis. Said heart was ok. I'll tell you, the test is pretty uneventful. toughest part is at the end when they apply "HEAVY" pressure to the artery to stop the bleeding. It was the longest 15 minutes in my life. Also they put a sandbag on the artery & you can't move for 6 hours. I wish you lettsa luck and hope they only find a very healthy heart in there. But remember, if they do find something, it's better to find out early. Then you and the doctor's can take care of it.
