went to my neuro today and haven't decided if i'm satisfied or not.  he walked in the room and asked when i wanted to go to chicago to go to diamond.  don't know if that is what i needed to hear at the time.  had just got done with the beast himself.  his nurse saw me suffer through the whole thing, it was her first time, she's new to the office.  she had no idea.  it was a 5 maybe 6, i told her it could have been a lot worse.  anyway, here's what he gave me.  upped my dose for depakote 1000mg daily-verapamil 480mg daily-indocin150mg daily.  tried to search on the indocin and didn't see too much, possibly didn't look in the right spot.  anyone had any luck with it?  also, what about the diamond clinic, i know it's not a cure but they have to be able to help don't they?

Bart,

Indo is "the" drug of choice for CPH, but is not generally effective for CH's.

It's a strong non steroidal anti-inflammatory.  Be very careful to take it with lots of food or it WILL burn a hole in your stomach.

I also used to take 150-200mg per day.  At the time, I was sure it was working to help abort my CH's,  but it takes waaaay too long to work. i.e., I think my CH's were ending on their own.

BTW - Do your search under Indomethacin  Wink

Marc is right, watch the Indo, its hard on the stomach. Its been several years since I tried and I don't remember the dosage. I do remember it didn't work for me. I am still searching for an effective preventive. Depacote was hard on my stomach also. Good luck Bart and I hope you get a break soon.
