A grateful sufferer

Since today's my birthday -- and birthdays are always an appropriate time to reflect and count one's blessings, I have to brag a little about my supporter -- Dana, my wife of 10 years.

Like many of you who understand what a good supporter is supposed to do, Dana understands that I need to be left alone when I'm having a full blown attack--even though it pains her so much to see me suffer.

She lets me know that she's praying for me, gives me a hug (when I'm ready for one), and offers TONS of encouragement.  (Thank you, sweetheart!)

During my last cycle, she carried an extra measure of "household management" duties, while I struggled with the beast: three small children, homeschooling two of those children, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and all without any grumbling or griping whatsoever!

I'll never forget my first cycle -- we were newlyweds -- she was so frightened (so was I, of course!).  But she rose up to the occaision and supported me as best she knew how!
It was a learning process, and with each cycle that hit in subsequent years, she got better at it.

So, here's to you, sweetheart!  Thank you, Lord for such a terrific wife and for giving me another year of living.  I know that I am truly blessed

Folks, if you have a good supporter -- be sure and let them know how much she/he is appreciated!

Best wishes and prayers for PFDAN to all!

I too have a wonderful supporter and it does mean all the difference with each cycle.  I'm glad you have someone there to help you when and how you need it.

Now even though it's your bday - take her out to a nice dinner.... ;D
