1 Day painfree

Hello all. After a miserable 14 day stint of no sleep due to our common bond bastard, I am so glad to say that I have had ONE whole night of uninterupted sleep. I had almost given up all hope of finally obtaining one solitary night of quality shut eye, especially with Friday night being so bloody ruthless for me. Being bombarded at 12, 2, 4, 6am respectively, I thought I was gonna go mad yet once again. I made it through Saturday without incident, to my utter amazement, and went to sleep, quite exhausted I might add, sleeping ever so soundly until almost 10 am Sunday. So... this is my one little victory, and I'm enjoying it, because as I type these words..... well, we all know how it ends..... One question.... if the attacks are becoming less in duration, but sometimes more intense, is this a sign that a cycle may be ending? I hope, I hope?? Gotta keep re-affirming myself that there is light at the end of the tunnel... and not just a train coming at me head on....... if you know what I mean. Take care everyone.... F1World.

For me when I start a cycle, they last about a 1/2 hr and slowly, day by day, they last longer until finally each HA lasts 1 1/2 hrs. That lasts for about a week and then it goes back down gradually to lasting about a 1/2 again before it ends. So, maybe, and I hope for you it is the sign of the end.

Welcome and as they say: it's very familiar. For me, when my cycle was ending, the frequency would drop. They did seem a little shorter as well. The intensity rarely fluctuated, if at all. Charlie

Mine started in Sept., first 3 weeks mild kips then wham, 6 out of 7 nights a week for 3 weeks (for some reason I would be pf at least once during weekend) and then they just completely stopped. 8 pfn's for me now. Good luck to you, hope the beast is gone.

I should have kept my mouth shut as I figure that bastard was drunk or getting laid Saturday night, and that's the only reason he left me alone..... he made me pay for my overexuberance and in the thought that he may be leaving soon.... yuck, what a night. 3 majors that left me moaning and paralysed, rocking in my chair (walking made it worse) 2 of them lasted close to 2 hrs each.... man oh man..... I am really getting worn out.... can't even blow sunshine up my own ass today....christ.

Hi Jeff, Yep, same pattern for Mike when his cycle starts to end. One or two good nights, while the beast seems to be sucking in his breath, only to draw strength and nail the hell outta him yet again. But that's always a sign that his cycle is drawing to a close. So take heart, kiddo - it's really not a train this time. Here, hold onto this rope....we'll pull ya back up over that cliff you feel you're hanging off of right now.

Same as Charlie here. during start and end (a couple of weeks both), the frequency of attacks rise (start) and lessen (end). No change in the time (always 1 hour) and pain (always Kip 10 for me....

Hy F1, I can understand you when you tell that it is a victory to have a painfree night, rather having an attack diring the night I would prefer to be beated... I am happy to hear you are good, and I hope the beast will leave you definitely. October for me has been a very hard time I got many attacks, I know that the CH is leaving me when I have less attacks during the day even if the intensity is quite pretty, Good luck form Italy, Zaira

Just a quick "Thank You" to those that took the time to read and reply to my post. I enjoy reading feedback, even if it is on such a horrible topic for us all, but it helps to know how others' cycles ebb and flow. I just wish it was done already... I really don't know how you all manage, maybe with the meds it helps, but alas, I haven't taken anything except Tylenol... pfft.... being an adult student with limited funds kinda puts me in the "I really can't afford the treatment" category. Such is life. Take care all.. and "Thanks" once again! F1World Scuderia Ferrari, Forza Ferrari!!!!!!

Interesting Domm.... I guess that sort of applies to me as well, as I am currently in school working towards my MCSA, but Slammys' conclusion was totally on the mark. Yeah, I'm a Formula One fanatic.... some may murmer "obsessive..." depending on with whom you speak... but it's my deepest passion, and has been for most of my life. Even have the Michael Schumacher logo tattooed on my left bi-cept... Jonny's not the only one with a set of guns.... heh heh. Well..... off to make sure my gel packs are nice and frozen... gonna be one of those nights..... man I hate this.... ciao

Sorry about the regroup and flank attack F1, this shit just plain sucks. It is a cruel irony that there are meds that can prevent / abort CH, but at a hefty price that only "Gill Bates" can afford. I have attached a link I hope can help. good luck! http://www.phrma.org/pap/pa99.pdf Later, Mark

Damn Ted, Lighten up, I didnt see anywhere in his post requests for sympathy, only what I thought we were here for, a place to hurt. I guess some of us are sicker than others. DJ sez..... "It's been almost three years now. More than 1,113,000* people have visited the site, 6,001,000* hits total, and over 173,600* messages posted on the message board (* numbers as of August 28, 2002). I am TRULY amazed! If you only knew how many nights I've sat here, with tears streaming down my face, reading the messages from all of you. You have truly blessed my life! Like many of you have stated in messages, sometimes, the greatest feeling in the world is just knowing that someone else out there REALLY knows how you feel! That comfort, in itself, is absolutely priceless!" I think the last couple of lines sums it up nicely!
