My Daddy died Friday Aug 18th. He was a wonderful Dad. Not perfect by any means but I Loved and respected and apreciated him sooo much. My family went every Sunday to have dinner with him and my Mom. She is really taking this hard. There is so much to do that there is not much time to greave yet. He lived a long fairly healthy life and did not suffer to much. The last month was hard on him because he was in the hospital and a nursing home. He so much wanted to come home. We were working on it when he died. He knew we were and I know was greatful for that. I spent alot of time with him this last month and I know he knew how much I deeply cared for him and I know he felt the same about me. I am so glad we had time to say those things to eachother. I was so close to him and had been all my life. I will greatly miss him. He also treated my family very good. Spending time with Chad doing Man things and listening to Abby chatter. He would laugh at Abby how she talked non stop. And he knew I had a good life with Jack. I am sorry I am rambling on and on. I pray tonight all your Loved ones know how much you love them and that you know how much they love you. I have such a hard time with thinking I will see him and my little sister again. I wish I could beleave without a doubt because I know would feel so much better. I beleave in God. It is just so hard sometimes without seeing. Well, goodnight my freinds. I Love you all. Peace and hope and health to you all, Love Paula

Sorry Paula and you're not alone. It's the way things are arranged. It makes little sense when this happens. All I can say is that after a time, it's gets easier to compartmentalize this kind of thing. It never goes away, and although it will always be part of your life, you'll be able to set it to one side more often. I promise. Take care Paula Charlie

Sorry Paula for your Dad...and mainly for you! I think that's a picture behind all what happens to us (may be God, may be the fate...) But, anyway, this is our life. With false steps, good steps and some back steps........ but is our life, and we owe to our beloved ones that left us to LIVE our life, in the better way. Love you!

Paula, So sorry about your loss. You definitely made me think about the poor relationship that I have with my dad. Keep your faith in God and he will carry you through this. I know it's hard to believe in what you can't see. Everyone believes in the wind without seeing it because they can see what it does. Faith works the same way. My thoughts are with you.

Hi Paula, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through your grief. Charlie's right, it does get a little easier with time. Hold his memory close and know that he would want you to celebrate the time you did have with him here. Always here if you need a shoulder, gal. BIG hugs, Margi

Paula- What a wonderful tribute to your father- it is always hard for us left behind, though, isn't it. As others have said, as time goes by, the pain you feel from the loss of you dad will be replaced by the memories you have created. My sympathies, Paula. Cathi

Oh Paula I have a dad like that...He is 80. I cannot imagine losing that treasure of my life. I am so sorry for your loss... He is not gone. He is only away. He is preparing your home in Heaven...He is always with you now and he can remember again, the pain is gone. I watched the most fantastic movie last night it was called Rumor of Angels it touched my heart so deeply. It was about a young boy that lost his mother. It talked of how our lost ones are always with us and not lost at all. I believe that... Now you can carry your dad in your pocket... and speak to him when ever you like... It will take a little time to feel better but as time goes you will realize our time here is so short... you will see your Dad again I guarantee it... love to you and your family kisses for Abby ~~~ Ree

Paula, My heart goes out to you. You have my deepest sympathy. I too lost my Daddy just over a year ago. It leaves you with such a lost feeling. It does get easier...I promise. The time will come when the tears will be replaced with warm and wonderful memories of him. And thinking of the good times will make you smile. Bless your heart. Jackie
