Well,
We are a bunch of self-righteous, self-involved, often unforgiving,
disinterested, disparaging, disgruntled, overbearing, rather careless, often
hasty, ill-tempered, silly, sometimes ill-informed, largely profane, now and
then mean-spirited, and often dead wrong.
We are not boring
We are not humorless
We are not dullards
We are not clueless
We are not un-educated
We are not helpless
We are not alone
We are one of several international OUCH members
We are necessary
We are helpful
We are skeptics
We are quack watchers
We are interesting
We have helped others avoid dangerous procedures
We have helped others understand this horror
We have helped many to manage their pain
We have helped others afford drugs
We have helped others afford oxygen
We have helped find good neurologists
We have helped identify bad neurologists
We have helped others find better drugs
We have helped others to use alternative drugs
We have helped find alternative therapies
We have helped educate health care workers
We have helped educate some doctors
We have helped find safe and useful therapies
We have helped others identify useless drugs
We have helped others to identify their headache type
We have helped lessen the fear of injections
We have helped others find sources of oxygen
We have helped teach others how to use oxygen
We have helped with some damn good advice
We have helped employers understand CH
We have helped families understand CH
We have helped children understand CH
We have helped create an international organization
We have helped
We have our fun
Mostly we are in indescribable pain, that we somehow manage.
Lastly, we are a creation of DJ's who found a way to do something rather
than sit and suffer alone with a disease that very few understand and is
incredibly generous and patient with his collection of pain-ridden posters.
Isn't that special?
