has anyone tried epilim

Has anyone tried Epilim (sodium Valporate) I have been on pred 40mg since april with intro of epilim have been on 1000mg for three months, was having 8-9 attacks a day full house, lasting 20mins to 2 -3 hours, now down to shadow during day and 1 at the usual 2hours into sleep take maxalt melts. and heat to back of neck. still feel my request to try oxygen was not unreasonal dr refused !! epilim just makes me so tired, not complaining as most attacks gone but reducing pred now on 20mg and know they are ready waiting to return. so frightened it this happens . have had ch for 3 years and have had imigran ,verapimil, pred , but need to be able to work, love to here any ideas, will not be able to see site again until tonight. bye for now.

epilim=depekote
 
I have tried depekote with no success however some here have had varying degrees of success with anti-siezure meds.

Goldy, post again asking about depekote and you might get some responses.  Sorry but I am an imitrex, O2, with verapamil girl.  Thats what works for me.  Hopefullylly you'll find what you need here.

Depakote is an anti-seizure drug that many here had used.  Sometimes they prescribe a lot of the stuff. Others here can tell you more about its effects of CH.

i didn't have any luck with Depakote, i use Nancy McFree's recipe to deal with this.                   ...........2late

I've tried epilim two years ago, but just like the topomax, it gave me terrible mood swings and depression although it worked for a while.
 
Now on verapamil, ergotamine and imitrex with O2 on the side.
 
Hope you find the right combination for you.
