Do I have Cluster headaches

I have been arguing with my doctor for over two years now. He keeps saying that I have migraine headaches and I disagree with him. I didn't know there was a such thing as clusters until I found this website tonight. This might be the best thing that I have ever read regarding my headaches. I do not have the regular migraine symptoms, such as vomiting, sinsitivity to light and sound etc. I can always tell when I'm going to have a headache because I can't hear out of my right ear and my right nostril is plugged and I can't breathe out of it. My eye waters and eyelid seems swollen and red. My headache is always on the same side as these other symptoms, my right side of my head. The headache is so intense, I cannot concentrate on anything. I cry and pray and that is about the only thing that gets me through them. But they seem to last longer than what this site says. They are usually off and on for approx. 3 days. I get them mostly every two weeks, sometimes every week. I have tried vicadon and everthing to get rid of them. Now I take Toradol. It seems to help a little, but not much. Mostly makes me groggy. I feel really weird when I get the headaches and get really bad hot flashes. They went away for about 5 months while I was pregnant, but came back right after the baby was born. They started in March 1999 and have been ongoing since. I have had sinus surgery, alergy meds., went to the Chiropractor, got new glasses, on antidepressants, and Inderal (blood pressure medicine). I am worried about taking the Inderal though. I already have low blood pressure and I am afraid this will bottom me out. Also, nothing is working now. I really need to convince my doctor I am not a hypocondriac. (spelling??) Please help me someone.

Sad to say, to me, they sound like clusters. Do you wake up out of a cold sleep? That is a pretty good sign. I took Inderal 40 when mine hit and discontinued it between attacks. Because I did this, I had to endure some real pain until I got a level built up. For me, it was better than taking more drugs. I was already full of anti-convulsants. Inderal was pretty good for me. Welcome and keep looking us over. Stick around and tell us what you find. Charlie
