Do most of you users get your oxygen from a medical supplier covered 100% by your insurance, or just a percentage or what? In the beginning, I was told oxygen is considered durable medical equipment and would be covered, now I am getting bills and rejections from the insurance, you can't win.

When Blue Shield turned down my request to cover my oxyegen, my Dr. wrote them a semi-sarcastic letter in which he said, among other things.....It would seem to me that it would be in the interest of your company to provide my patient the oxygen she needs as opposed to frequent ER visits and, or hospitalization. They gave in. But then here is the rub...They were being charged 42.00 for an E-tank..BS (I love that abbreviation) payed 10.00 and I was required to pay the balance of 32.00. I made a deal with the 02 supplier to pay only 10.00 to them for each tank, so I ended up leaving BS out of it all anyway. Like Svenn said, THIS SYSTEM SUCKS!!!!!! Linda Howell
