Hey guys. I was curious to see if anyone else has suffered alot of mental problems during a CH cycle or any other problems related. I normally suffer from anxiety but I seem to e able to control it with medication and exercise but not during a cycle. It only takes me a few weeks into it to become a shut in. At first I will go out for very small trips if I am armed head to toe with Imitrex. A few weeks later I usaully won't leave the house. This year I find I cannot even take myself out of my bedroom. So getting anykind of help is impossible b/c I simply cannot move. The shaking, nervousness that border on paranoia. The confusing part is I cannot feel any emotion in my body, the opposite really as I feel completly dead inside. But fear I feel so well. Just fear, paranoia, fear..... And I haven't really found anyone else like this although I'm sure some must have it. The terror grows by the day/hour and with each attack. I really don't think I will ever leave this bedroom again. Love, Me PS I have found that loading my body with extremly high amounts of protein seems to cut down on the amount of attacks. At le4ast 3-1 Protein to Carbs And the protein powder used for weight training seems to help alot. May be useless info but as it seems to work for me thought I'd throw it out there.

Lt - not wanting to leave the house is a sign of depression. The lack of sleep during a cycle just adds to the depression. Get yourself on an anti-depressant and things may start to look up for you. Just a suggestion. Take care and sleep well.

Lt - if you take care of the way you are feeling and get better, they won't put you in a mental hospital. Please, get some help. Are you not taking the meds you are suppose to be taking ????? Best wishes to you. Take care.

That clorpromazine I threw out but that was years ago. Nobody should ever be on that nasty evil drug. It was what caused all the problems. Then the Paxil but it seemed useless and it wasn't worth the weight gain. Without any drugs everything was going fine until the clusters hit. Its just pretty hard to trust those psychos. Dr.Butcher MD, ya know? just clonazepam now for anxiety, a bit more than usual b/c i can't work out these days and burn off the restlessness i just need the CHs to go, then i can get back to weights and running

If you really cared you would take these headaches away! hehe I said that to my g/f once. Just once. If you knew her temper you would know there is nothing to worry about. Police chases, mental hospitals, and sliced wrists don't sit all that well with her. So I'm not allowed to do anything stupid ever again, she made that pretty clear.

Bullitt had to laugh at this question... show me someone with CH that doesnt have mental health problems during a cycle... and for some strange reason it runs into their family and if they have close and i mean close friends it trickles on down to them too... Mostly I think the meds run you down... Imatrex makes me feel like I got hit by a bus sometimes... and the rest of it zombifies the sufferer when the cycle gets long... in our case once Dave feels like there is no end in sight... and his body and brain can take no more... they let up and go away... I think CH has to peak before it goes away but that is my OPINION not fact... feel better... ree
