Sorry that I can't help as I have no experience with this. Don't worry though. As soon as these dopes sober up and read the board; you'll get some replies. Take care and let us know how you're doing. Charlie

http://www.tna-support.org/Tnalert/heat.html Of 1,200 patients treated with Radiotrequency rhizotomy, 99 percent had total pam relief immediately after the procedure and were able to discontinue their medications. Twenty percent had pain recurrence at an average followup of nine years. Half of those patients required a second surgery, half were able to control their pain with medications alone.

| I'm happy for the 1188 people who got rid of their Trgeminal Neuralgia. Procedures to sever the trigeminal nerve are indeed indicated for refractory cases of TN, and with great success as above quote shows. However, independent experts (the ones not involved in the nerve cutting business) do not recommend it for any other sort of neuro-vascular headaches. The possible side effects just don't balance the far from certain benefits. Not to piss on anybody's cornflakes, just to keep the record straight. Ueli
