Woosh, came in like the after shock of an A bomb. Must have been in the tail end of rem sleep. Raced into the shower around 3am . Lucky only lasted 20 min. Quite a sensation, experienced it before and knew I was in for a "doozy". No time to react, only yelp. Better now. Went for morning work out and feel good drained. Damn its scary when you wake up under these circumstances.

Nothing like the REM sleep sneak attack the SOB likes to deliver. Those are the ones I hate the most. Don't get me wrong, I can do without all of them. Glad to read the H20 helped.

I think that is one of the reasons most of us suffer willingly from insomnia. I'm definitely scared to go to bed. In your deepest sleep, the beast sneaks up on you. It doesn't give you a chance to get away. It leaves you tired and exhausted, with its shadow lurking in the background. You fear to close your eyes again, but fall asleep in any case, just to be woken up sometimes an hour or two later to start the fight again. And sleeping during the day has the same effect. So my conclution is that it has nothing to do with your sleeping pattern. Yeh, this is realy SCARY! Hope you have a PF night tonight.

;D ;D Well the up side to this is that after this happens enough to you , you will begin to develope a defence mechanism that actually allows you to realise that it isn't a dream and you had better wake up right away to deal with them!, Or at least I did! Pappy

Hello people. Anytime I take a nap I get the shaft. I can stay up all night too but it still comes. Even worse if I get no sleep. Only good thing about waking up at night in full swing is I am already 1/3 done. I would rather be on clockwork agian. 11:00 a.m. right before lunch, 1-3:00 a.m. after everyone is asleep. It really knows how to screw things up. One day, out of nowhere, I dont get my lunch call. Suprise suprise huh? Mike

I had one year where I woke up sweating, and within a couple of minutes I started feeling the beast, then it was bolt upright time!! But only one year...wonder why. This year I dreamed of frantically searching for my imitrex, my head was hurting...woke up, demon was there! Stupid unpredictable thangs! Mast
