Who told the beast that it had permission to drive itself from my eye and temple down into my upper molars!?!?! I think this is the first time I've realized the pain is in my teeth as well as my head and eye. I've seen it mentioned by others that they get that as well, just wondering who gave the beast permission and if it's normal for the beast to do that? Cat

Cat, I have this ALL THE TIME! In fact, it goes down that side of my throat too with incredible aching and into my ear on that side too. My teeth, though, feel as if they're going to EXPLODE - incredible internal pressured feeling - agony. AND, I have to have dental drilling and onlays done to three teeth on that side next week! EEEEEKKKK Scared to DEATH! - Jim R

My beast likes to rotate the side pains from the ear, jaw and upper teeth. Some have had their teeth pulled in an attempt on pain relief.

Occassionally my upper teeth will hurt like hell during an attack, but normally I'm too buzy trying to make a new window in the wall to care... Although afterwards I'll get plenty pissed at the teeth, because it seems that they take longer for the pain to ease out. PFDAN........................ Drk^Angel

Never my teeth Cat. Sorry about that though. I don't bring this up much because I don't want to start something, but my headaches began shortly after my wisdom teeth were extracted. Probably not related though. Stay away from the dentist for CH. You need your teeth kids. Charlie

Your' right Drk - teeth pain from these mothers takes longer to quiet down than the rest. This is why I alwsy thought it was due to sinus infections...they do that to my teeth too... Jim R

Click here: from the OUCH site. http://www.clusterheadaches.org/library/general/trigeminal_pic.htm Follow the (orange colored) trigeminal nerve and you can see why there can be pain in the teeth, jaw, nose, eye. That trigeminal sucker goes everywhere.

Never have had associated tooth pain with a CH. Sorry to read that others do. The beast truly knows how to vary his delivery dosen't he.

Thanks very much for that pic Bob, I have seen others of the trigeminal nerve, but they don't show that kind of detail, and I didn't realize that it went that far into the jaw line. Thanks for all the responses, at least now I know why I wanted to rip my teeth out last night hehe. Charlie, my wisdom teeth came out and thats when the beast intensified, but then again they messed mine up really bad, I had mine removed surgically because they were imbedded in the bone and I'm still spitting out chunks of bone 3 years later. Mine, like Jim's is temple ear jaw eye throat. Sometimes pain even radiates down into my shoulder. But all seems to stem from a place that is about 1/4 of an inch from the top center of head, but down to behind the eye. Hard to explain, but if you took 2 straight lines, one, about a 1/4 in. back from the center of the temple, and one 1/4 inch left of the top center of my head, where they intersect is the source of the center of my pain. The rest radiates from there. I have always likened my attacks to a cramp in the head. That is what it feels like to me, like I am getting a charlie horse in my head. Sherry

For me: Behind the eye - (hoo-boy!) Temple - (you bet!) Back of the head and neck on CH side (ooooh!) Jaw - (sometimes) Teeth - NOPE! Sorry to hear about the added pain, Cat! (and to others on this thread) Sounds nasty! (As if a CH wasn't nasty enough!) Hang tough! StanTheMan

you think its your teeth but its not . I had my teeth removed and the pain is still there, when I am in a cycle and chronics do have cycles I have to take my teeth out and rub my gums. I tell people my whle left side of my face hurts its more in my face than my head. If I could just rip that side of my face off would be nice. If I could somehow get my hand inside my skin and rum from the inside out I think it would feel better. I eat ice durning a bad attack to deaden my gums.
